As a person originally from Roman Road who went to school at St Anne's in Brick Lane and worked s a porter in the original Billingsgate Mkt I cannot but wonder why none of the candidates are talking about improving Bethal Green. I don't give a &%#@ about Bangaladesh or Gaza or Bolivia....lets plan to improve the wellbeing of locals and not worry about the price of tumeric in Cox's Bazaar !!

The press hype he attension around her ethnicity and her sex because it is a breakthrough. She was educated here and her loyalty is to the country who gave her that education. I am sorry....but who is Rushanara Ali? She may of gone to school in Tower Hamlets and she maybe part of Summer Uni....other then that...what has she done? Abjol Miah is the only candidate that actually lives in the Borough.....unlike the others.
The level of inequality has increased under New Labour. Soft regulation of the banks and the financial system has created a gulf between the haves and the have nots. Wealthier financiers from the city are buying up 2nd and 3rd homes in our community and pushing up the prices so everyday working people that have been born and raised in this borough can no longer afford a flat here. New Labour is a joke

The Respect candidate, Abjol Miah, has excellent credentials and will be a powerful voice for the people of Bow and Bethnal Green, he will stand up against the cuts in public services that all the major parties are trying to impose. He will be a champion for the east end.
