  • WTF :)

  • drugs are bad mkay

  • LOL - this is good, but Saturday Night Live had a similar idea many years ago (Cosby, Sills, Cash and Deng, as in Xiaoping).

  • Oops, I goofed. It was actually "Cosby, Sills, Cash and Chung":

"Comedian Bill Cosby, opera singer Beverly Sills, country singer Johnny Cash, and TV reporter Connie Chung are forming a rock group but they need a name.

If you can think of one, write to "Cosby, Sills, Cash, and Chung, c/o Weekend Update"

  • evangelical atheist what in the hell???

  • Oh yea, I remember a long time ago when Saturday Night Live came up with the "Cosby, Sills, Cash & Jung" line for one of their fake newscasts. Evidently you remember it too--

  • This is missing the opening track to "Speedracer". "Gō Gō Gō Speedracer he's Belial on wheels"

  • i met bill cosby he's awesome but a bit pretentious

  • I have to say Edward is really talented, great video, really funny and smart.

  • Lovely irreverent.

  • That tripped me out!

  • Brilliant!

  • LOL

  • Jung spat some hard bars on this track!

  • that, takes the cake...

  • Excellent! Thank you!

  • Cosby,lol " I don't have the ticket MONEY!!!"

  • The internet just exploded

  • ROFL

  • The first time Cosby's funny!

  • How delightfully fucked up!

  • Genius!! :D

  • I am an Evangelical Atheist, and I have been responsible for the de-conversion of 120 religious people to atheism, using Yahoo Answers as a platform.

    I came across you today.

Many of your ideas mirror exactly my own. We present them differently, but to be sure - you are a kindred spirit.

I hope you don't mind me linking to you from time to time. This video deserves an award.

    Richard Carrier

  • i accidentily converted somone lol. i was talking to a super-christian about the bible "morals" and the person overheard and thought it didnt make any sence. woot for nonsensical bible babble!

  • Well that's ironic. I don't support proselytism of any kind - whether based in religion or atheism.

  • @hybridamerica dead birds all over the world some dead fish with no eyes now dead doves in italy. scientists with no explanation. athests have no souls. if you stand for nothing, you fall for anything. pathetic. dont call gods name when the next event comes my dear

  • This is so beautiful!

  • Funny! Reminded me a Chevy Chase joke from 'Weekend Update' on SNL in the 70s. But it was Cosby, Sills, Cash and Chung.

  • genius!

  • Brilliant! This is way funnier than "Kathleen Turner Overdrive" :)

  • LOL

  • How do you think of this stuff!

  • This is very well made....Lol.

  • =D Talents everywhere.

  • EXCELLENT!!!!!!

  • Very very psychedelic! And funny. :)

  • I can tell you spent the most time on the cosby one, because the lips sync up PERFECTLY! Even down to the breathing.

  • Did you all know that Beverly Sills died just 11 days after this video was posted. She died of lung cancer at 78. No she wasn't a smoker.

  • pretty clever; nice lip synching

  • Ok... more please! This is brilliant. I laughed throughout, then stood in a corner for two hours contemplating the peeling paint. God has a place in heaven for someone who grasps the reasons why this is so funny...

...that is unless you constantly rail against him in your obvious quest for reconciliation. There's much history and, yes, even science in that ancient tome. Don't burn that bridge completely. Please leave a handrail you can cling to when doubt finally fails you. Peace ~Jon

  • Great. Now I have an earworm..lol

  • Stunning

  • Incredible piece of creating and editing!

  • Jung! LOL

  • PURE GENIUS

  • Very funny and well done. I prefer Eddie C's preaching, but I'm glad I found this one too.

  • Golden ratio.

  • omfg this is so funny but i dont think i can handle listening to it twice. lol!

  • Funny. Weird, but funny.

  • HOLY-- COW !!!!!

  • this video makes me smile

  • This is pretty incredible.

  • Beverley Sills was an opera singer. I think the only reason that she was chosen was to fill out the Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young parody.

  • My two cents: I don't know who Sills is, but I've known of the three guys since I was about 12. ;)

  • who is that singing woman?

  • the late beverly sills

    (RIP Bubbles)

  • Ok, you lost me on that one!

  • im 20, and yes ive heard of Carl Jung, but not beverly Sills, why did you make the assumption everyoen watching this video knows who they are

  • I want one by Lemmon, Mc Carthey, Harrington and Farr. Ha ha.

  • That was impressive I swear, your videos should have more viewing IMO....

  • Sweet

  • Dude, you've got skills.

  • if you move your head back and forth, bill cosby's eyes follow you!

  • Amazing.

  • Artful.

  • damn that's hilarious

  • lol does anyonr ealised the title is a joke on the group "crosby stills nash and young"?

  • lol only some will, those who know the group

  • Those who know good music

  • Ya think so? *duh*

  • less than one percent of people my age would know who they are

  • What are you, six? You've under estimated the knowledge of the younger generation. I mean if they know Beverly Sills and Carl Jung, well...

  • Please tell me where a 12 year old kid is going to hear the name Carl Jung OR Beverly Sills...

They are NOT in education OR mainstream media.

  • I noticed it instantly

  • all i can say is

    wtf

    hehe

also, wish you had used the young jung

(he was so much more handesome) :P

  • The Universe seems to operate by a series of laws, looks like design to me!!!!!!!

  • Brillant video

  • Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Right on, right on.

  • Funny stuff! How'd you pick those four?

  • You're a clever boy, Edward.

  • Zie only real danezjur det exists is Man himself, he is de great danezjur, end we are pityfully unaware of iet.

    kommpleat atomizasjun, into nothingness...

    Go Carl Gustav, go

    5 stars! ;-)

  • Amazing!! =)

  • wonderfully creative stuff. Well done

  • wow

  • excellent. what a cool video. Thanks very much.

  • ... you. Yes, You! You are my new god!

  • Life is intrinsically meaningless.

This insight is what both drives the young heart mad and what will calm that same heart if it lives long enough to see the pain it has brought to the world through its zeal.

  • Life has meaning life has purpose. That purpose is experience.

  • "Experience" is the word we use to describe what happens to us. To have an experience is to see or feel or otherwise sense something. This requires that something exist, namely the thing, and you (the thing doing the sensing).

When we say we have experienced something, it is something that has happened to us. WE might have had intentions, but the universe itself has no intentions. A tree does not seek to have you look at it, or sit under it. A rock does not intend or try to be heavy.

  • The universe does have intentions just as we do. We are made of the same material as the universe. Our thoughts and ambitions are just a physical and chemical combination interacting with eachother.

  • You Said:

"Our thoughts and ambitions are just a physical and chemical combination interacting with eachother."

    That sounds about right.

But that does not mean that "thought" was contained in physical or chemical reactions. These things give rise to the process of thinking.

A house can be made of bricks and wood, that does not mean "house" was in the bricks and wood.

Wood will burn, but that does not mean it has fire in it.

  • The kinetic energy is there. Our thought is just a combination of chemicals and physics just as god's thoughts are, except he is not made of chemicals he is made of the stem cells of the universe. The energy that created light and matter. The source of the big bang was from this energy source not 2 pieces of matter floating around from infinity.

  • Umm what are "stem cells of the universe"? Can we find one? Have you seen one?

Matter and energy are the same thing according to E=MC2. One can be exchanged for the other under the right conditions.

"Stem cells" sound interesting, but if they exist, they would have to be either matter or energy, wouldn't they?

  • It is the opposite of anti-matter.

  • um ok...

The opposite of matter is anti-matter.

The opposite of anti-matter is...(wait for it)...

    Matter.

So "stem-cells of the universe" are matter. Great. How does this help? It doesn't seem to add much to all of the matter that is here...

  • Einsteins problem is he believed the world was static, today we know this is not the case the world is dynamic. Anti-matter is only "electrically" opposite to matter.

  • Just because E=MC2 doesn't explain everything, does not mean it is wrong or has no application. Einstein wasn't trying to say how the world started, only work with what we have.

And yes, he did not like quantum mechanics. But indeterminacy and uncertainty are different from merely dynamic.

But you postulate some sort of "electrically opposite" thing to matter. OK, so how does this work? Are you researching this in a lab now? Because it sounds like physicists would be very interested.

  • A) I never said he was wrong science just trys to explain equations that work in practical worldy application. His equations work he just did not know how the world really worked.

    B) I do not postulate it exists anti-matter is real. And scientists are doing research with it.

  • OK. How does anti-matter act like stem cells then? And why do you think this stuff has "god" in it, but regular matter does not?

  • No the opposite of anti-matter IS god.

  • You might be beyond hope.

You mutilate scientific discoveries in order to support belief in the supernatural. Why not just grow a spine and say that you have faith, and by definition faith is not subject to proof. Then you wouldn't have to bend you poor over-worked brain with half-baked details of things very few people understand anyway.

If you want to believe, then believe. There is no need for all your bluster, unless you have doubts.

  • I don't believe in a bible god or anything what the hell are you talking about kid? All I am saying is god is the stem cells of the universe. It's called a hypothesis not faith. It is just as much faith as when a scientist is doing an experiment hoping for results. If it did exist it would fill in the blank that everyone is looking for. Infinite universes with infinite dimensions is the biggest faith based theory I have ever heard of.

  • Now you've lost it. You are probably going to go insane. You want a final answer. But saying "god" doesn't explain anything. All you are doing is claiming to know something that you don't know.

Your 19th century brain is going to have a melt-down if you try to "prove" god (or whatever you mean). Had you lived 150 years ago you would have though electric current in light bulbs was proof of god.

    You need to settle down.

"God" is not an answer, because then have to explain what "god" is

  • Ad Hominem much?

If I was in the 19th century I could not have come up with such a theory as that is not what causes electricity I never said that. God is the opposite of anti-matter I know this because it is fact. Sorry. But your failed attempt at trying to undue all scientific research and endeavours has failed.

  • I'm starting to think you are pulling my leg.

"God is the opposite of anti-matter I know this because it is fact." directly contradicts your previous claim that this was a hypothesis.

"Hypothesis" is usually used by scientists to describe what they think might be an accurate model of the world. No scientist ever thinks he is 100% correct, only that his hypothesis (to him) seems more likely than any alternative.

You are making a bold-faced claim about "god" actually being "anti-matter".

  • oops, rather: "you are making the bold faced claim: "god is actually the "opposite of anti matter".

So, what does this hypothesis do for us?

    or

How does this help us understand the world better?

    or

What blank is being filled in?

    or

    What question is being answered?

    or

What puzzle is being solved by saying "god is the opposite of anti-matter"?

  • No god is the opposite of anti-mater what don't you understand.

  • OK. Just to be clear: You say "god is the opposite of anti-matter". Right? Right.

So how does this bring meaning to anything?

And if that is too hard to answer, what exactly is this supposed to clear up?

Put another way: How does saying "god is the opposite of anti-matter" clear up any confusions.

Or, what does believing "god is ...x..." help us explain?

  • Good question. The opposite of anti-matter is the opposite of anti-matter does. Now if that is too hard for you to understand let me dumb it down for you. Anti-matter turns matter into energy, God turns energy into matter.

  • Yes well, that is very interesting. It seems to confirm E=MC2 (that matter and energy can be converted back and forth).

But if you recall, this discussion started by you claiming that life has meaning. How does saying "god is ...x..." make the world any more meaningful?

  • Life has meaning? When did I say that? I was argueing god was intelligent.

  • Now I am sure you are pulling my leg...

Look up to the top of our thread. I said, "Life is intrinsically meaningless..."

And you replied, Life has meaning life has purpose...."

So I ask again, unless you've changed your mind, how does "god is ...x..." help you to think life has meaning?

And if you are now arguing that god is intelligent, how does "god is ...x..." help that argument?

  • Sorry I spelt it wrong I meant to add a not, Life has purpose god is intelligent, and I know why. First I must ask the question what is intelligence? Then I must ask what is purpose?

  • OK that made no sense.

    You claimed life had meaning.

I am asking why you think saying "god is ...x..." explains how life has meaning.

  • Because we were created for the purpose of existing. God is intelligent god created us there is purpose.

  • I am sorry, I don't think I see an argument there. You are clearly stating what you believe, but I don't see a connection between "god is ...x..." and everything else you say.

And I am even more confused by the idea that existing is the purpose. Most people who worry about life being meaningless are worried BECAUSE just existing does not seem very meaningful on its own.

So perhaps I am missing something?

  • I don't base my beliefs off belief I base my beliefs off science and facts. Yes you are missing something. Imagine nothing. Now imagine nothing plus 1. That is hell. But god saved us by creating us.

  • OK I think you might be really just trying to be silly just to drag on this conversation...

What is "nothing plus 1"? One what? One atom? One universe? One ice cube? What?

  • Nothing plus 1 is hell. I am not dragging on the conversation. God created us.

  • 1 Do you mean "nothing plus the number 1" is hell?

2 And, does "god is opposite of anti-matter" prove that god created us?

Please, I would like to know what you are trying to tell me, so could you lay the steps for me.

  • Okay

    Nothing+1=BigBang

    Nothing=hell

    god=1

    1=opposite of anti-matter(god)

God is real god cares god created us for purpose we are here we are now.

  • You say "Nothing plus 1 = bigbang", but before you said "nothing plus 1 is hell" (is this a mistake?)

You say "Nothing = hell". So now we have 2 things that equal "hell"?: "Nothing" and "Nothing plus 1"?

And if god = 1 and 1 is equal to "opposite of anti-matter", what is the "1" for? Why not say "nothing + god = bigbang"?

So, is "nothing + 1" = bigbang or hell?

And if 1 = god, then is "nothing + god" = bigbang or hell?

And how do we get meaning from all this?

    This is very confusing.

  • Like I said your brain might not be able to comprehend this.

Maybye you did not read what I said.

    Nothing = Hell

    Nothing plus 1 "is" hell

nothing plus 1 = big bang

    nothing plus 1 = 1-nothing

    1=god

god=opposite of anti-matter because that is what he is.

The universe was created with purpose and meaning and hell does exist. There is an afterlife. I can also explain why.

  • OK. So carry on...what is the explanation for why there is an after life?

  • Infinity. If everything truely is infinity infinite dimensions etc. All of my exact atoms right now will eventually be rearranged in some other time. Hence afterlife! Maybye it won't be earth anymore maybye it will.

  • Very interesting. The question is, will the future recombined version of you have any memory of the current you?

  • Molecularly yes. My exact combination will have near the same ambition etc. Of course different paths will cause variation.

  • OK, but will that guy (in the future) be able to remember you?

  • Some of the atoms you are made of right now will spontaneously undergo partial fission(radiation)carbon 14 for example. Eventually your body will be at max entropy (pure heat)

The rest will go and feed decomposers (bacteria, worms)

Very comforting, in fact I remember telling my grandfather on his death bed:

"It's okay grandpa, while you will no longer be able to experience anything take solace in the fact that your rotting carcass will feed several million nematodes."

    I was a good grandson

  • Exactly But we are talking about infinity here. In an infinte timespan at least to our minds comprehension our EXACT atoms in an infinte amount of time will be rearranged the exact same way. The amount of time will take so long we don't have a number for it. But since we won't have any brain receptors it will be instantaneous.

  • You want some math to disprove god? Start thinking in sizes of infinity and parsimony.

If you define complexity as the log of likelihood.

The universe is complex, any agency that is able to create and simultaneously answer have prayer and be all knowing would likely be more complex that the universe itself

    With parsimony:

No evidence of god = god is not scientific

From a philosophical standpoint god is either

    blind or dead

  • God does not exist = not scientific

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

    Infinity=God has to exist.

  • God doesn't exist.

  • Your right god exists just as much as we exist.

  • Uhh no. God does not exist.

  • God is the laws of the universe. Do you deny the laws of the universe?

  • No god is not the laws of the universe. God is a fairytale man made up by fools like you. God doesn't exist.

  • yes.

  • No, I don't deny the laws of the universe... But I do however deny a biblical God.

They are not the same... not to me.

  • WHY THE HELL DOES EVERYONE THINK THE BIBLE GOD IS THE ONLY GOD? I am not talking about the bible lol!!! God if people think god can only be a bible god no wonder everyone is athiest!

  • Hehe, I see your point... I deny the biblical God, and seriously doubt another self-aware, omnipotent, allmighty god... Guess I'm an Atheist...?

  • No that makes you an idiot faith junky. Your agnostic. Otherwise do you know the origin of everything? That is a pretty dumb statement to make saying your the most intelligent being in the whole god damn universe. Not to mention there are plenty of dimensions and realities that we can't even measure or see.

  • You mean Einsteins version of god. The laws of science and nature as being god, not an actual being as religion would imagine it to be. That definition of god does not have to be self conscious or personal. I think they missed what you were saying exactly. I believe like Einstein that there is no personal god it is impossible.

  • duh?

  • God is a metaphor for the force that drives us...

And baby I wanna be a Jedi Knight!!

  • lol if your joking if not what?

  • Fuzzy logic error please reenter input.

  • fantastic work

  • Edward current, will you marry me?

  • eww

  • Kaleidoscopic genius. Thank you for improving all minds.

  • "Afraid! Of Him? O, never, never! And yet - and yet - O Mole, I am afraid!"

    thumbs UP & 5 stars

  • fuckin ace

  • How deliciously silly!!

  • i dont get it

  • That was really bizarre. Cool though :)

  • Too early in the morning for this level of disturbia.

  • You are fabulously disturbed . . . my new hero of the internets.

  • Awesome in the extreme. Wow! What editing software do you use?

  • I loved it, even though it sort of freaked me out.

  • Please, Ed, more!

  • 0.0 XD!!

  • Fantastic!

  • yeah that was pretty sweet, well done

  • I don't know why I like it, but I do! Thanks!
