I was listening to this album for the first time today, while doing some history revision. Then this track came on. It was like the Norse Gods were telling me to continue revising and succeed in my exams! HAIL ODEN!
Definitely want to read this book now. I get goosebumps ever fucking time.... Mathais Nygård has the most amazing voice I've ever heard, and this prologue is kaunis.
If you are interested, this is the prologue from a book called Surgeon's Stories (Välskärin kertomuksia) by Zachris Topelius. The book is just as epic as this intro. After all it features the battle of Lützen in great detail :)
You know, the one that the song Rex Regi Rebellis is all about ;)
This is crap compared to Shakespeare. Don't get me wrong, Turisas is very likely my favourite band (ok, one of 5-6), but comparing this to Shakespeare is silly.
@blasty137 no. shakespeare is good, but he's very overrated. This prologue is very very legendary compared to the other shit that's being written these days.
I see that two people have never had to fight for anything they loved.
