I really question whether that friendship was ever real. I know what your saying, but yea to a complete newbie it would be hard. When I was just starting to become a fan it was hard for me to tell them apart. Mainly because they act very similar. But now its easy.

And her voice is kind of deep and semi hoarse. While Tsuji was always pretty silly but she's never REALLY been the real girly type even if she wears bows and stuff like that. I wouldn't say she's a complete fake XD But both of them obviously put on a little act in public. They've still got great personalities LOL (Okay I'm done XD The 500 character rule is killing me)
J-pop is all about putting on an act and putting out an image, I think. I still love it, and I still love Kago and Nono, but I don't honestly believe that that the girls really are as ditzy and stupid as they're portrayed.
It still blows my mind how much Aibon has changed over the years. Everyone else has shown at least some continuity -- their hairstyles may change, but it's the still the same girl throughout. Aibon, on the other hand... if you put Aibon age 12 next to Aibon age 17, I think many people would have a hard time telling they're the same person.
Even today, their normal voices are fairly low. Check out some of the "making of" videos for their W singles. It's only when they get into character -- when they're "on" for the camera / audience / studio mic -- that their voices get cutesy and high-pitched.
In fact, the real Tsuji seems to have become a bit of a punk in the last year or so. If you watch enough 'Hello! Morning' and 'Curious Nono', you see glimpses of it. The poofball hairdoos and other silliness are a complete scam. ^_^

You can usually tell because Kago is paler than Tsuji. Kago also has a rounder face. And Tsuji has funny teeth. =D

I know what your saying, but yea to a complete newbie it would be hard. When I was just starting to become a fan it was hard for me to tell them apart. Mainly because they act very similar. But now its easy.

I liked their shy image better... they turned into like circus freaks. When I first saw them, I thought they were sisters or lesbians... haha. Tsuji got married (had a baby?) and Kago started smoking and went out with some old man. I knew they were just playing innocent all along.

I knew they looked alike, but i could always tell them apart. possibly by their personalities, but i just always knew. i didnt know others had trouble.

Chill out. Nono and Aibon were deliberately marketed as pseudo-twins for FIVE YEARS. Even Japanese talkshow hosts sometimes had to ask which was which. As such, it's pretty silly to get mad at someone who is neither Japanese nor familiar with MM for making that mistake.

And her voice is kind of deep and semi hoarse. While Tsuji was always pretty silly but she's never REALLY been the real girly type even if she wears bows and stuff like that. I wouldn't say she's a complete fake XD But both of them obviously put on a little act in public. They've still got great personalities LOL (Okay I'm done XD The 500 character rule is killing me)

J-pop is all about putting on an act and putting out an image, I think. I still love it, and I still love Kago and Nono, but I don't honestly believe that that the girls really are as ditzy and stupid as they're portrayed.

It still blows my mind how much Aibon has changed over the years. Everyone else has shown at least some continuity -- their hairstyles may change, but it's the still the same girl throughout. Aibon, on the other hand... if you put Aibon age 12 next to Aibon age 17, I think many people would have a hard time telling they're the same person.

Even today, their normal voices are fairly low. Check out some of the "making of" videos for their W singles. It's only when they get into character -- when they're "on" for the camera / audience / studio mic -- that their voices get cutesy and high-pitched.
In fact, the real Tsuji seems to have become a bit of a punk in the last year or so. If you watch enough 'Hello! Morning' and 'Curious Nono', you see glimpses of it. The poofball hairdoos and other silliness are a complete scam. ^_^
