BEWARE......I bought a whitening kit off ebay that boasted of it's strong whitening capabilities.....it was something like 35% peroxide. I did not know that was a dangerously high concentration. It caused bone deterioration to my teeth and I had to get them restored.
@inkey2 Well keep in mind that whitening treatment is for people that have stain. If you do not have stain you will not have any effect from whitening. Also there are some genetically conditions but rarely seen them.
@alboss13 my stains are clear through the bone of the tooth. They are not surface stains, Mine probably happened from having the drug tetracyclin as a kid. The only thing left for me to do is get veneers
@inkey2 Veneers would be your best choice BUT they are expensive and often they look fake. Yes you will have a perfect smile but i personally dont like the way people look with veneers. It looks really fake.
@inkey2 Tetracycline stain is typically a yellowish line which is more visible if teeth are dried. Tetracycline and fluoride stains are embedded deep in the tooth structure and are the hardest to remove with whitening treatment. Depends on what expectations you have though. I have had few patients that got really good results. I can show you the pictures if you want just PM me your email. sometimes these stains disappear if exposed to whitening numerous times.
This video wasn't very helpful. It just elaborated on how dangerous it is to have it done at the D.S.S. and how simple it is at the mall. It didn't really show a before and after at the mall. This video is useless to the consumer.
I saw on the line about Dazzle White and I've just been scam by them. I signed up for a free trial that suppose to cost me only $1.98 for shipping. I was billed for $11.98 and later charged $89 and the latest $25 for elitepack membership. I have no idea what this is.. When I called them to reverse the charges, they told me that I agreed to all their charge. This is a scam and those responsible should be in jail.

If it was dangerous it would not have been allowed in the first place, you don't see them patening ideas for do it your self surgeries in the mall just because it's easier an cheaper to do so do you? Why? because that IS dangerous.
The dentist are mad because this was one thing people found they could do themselves at a fraction of the price.
And your hair example was a terrible example. These aren't kids whitening your teeth but rather sales professionals who are trained and educated about the teeth whitening cosmetic. So maybe you should compare a cheap super cuts hair salon that'll charge you 30 buck to cut your hair or you choose a high fashion salon with people who go through etensive training and spen 200 or 300 dollars on your hair.
I just want to know how you know the salespersons have the proper training and knowledge in dentistry. Because they're part of a business corporation?
yeah well if that's the case then pull out all the do it yourself teeth whitening strips and pens, you know the dentist raised a fit for those products too, and since we're on a roll about letting the doctors do everything, lets not treat our on colds or flus, or headaches, or minor burns and scrapes, or pull out loose teeth from our children and leave it for the tooth fairy, or use numbing gels for a tooth ache or when our babies are teething etc etc,

you're a moran gumsidebiz...first of all you have no knowledge of dentist and insurances obviously...insurance do not cover teeth whitening so when a consumer wants a product that they will pay for full price you should go to professionals. You dont go to an elementary school and get a hair cut just because the kids know how to use the scissors. So get it done right or you will end up paying more to fix it.

because notalot of people will spend over 300 for one session
when you can pay under 200
at the mall
and even some people have to goo back and pay more at the dentist
i love my teeth that i got whitend and it was defintlety worth the money
my gums or tounge didnt hurt and i didnt experince any trouble at all
they dont drill your mouth or anything like that
