@Zookerman8531 only the mp40 to my knowledge is super accurate...and thats only up to a certain degree, it has low recoil because its a 9mm, and the devs actually shot all the guns are a firing range to get a feel for their recoil and record SFX. Probably more than can be said for most games.
I love how the MG-34 is designed for quickly swapping barrels. Fritz thought of everything! Ivan's DP-28 is incredibly accurate. I like how they make it a point to show that ideology becomes meaningless in combat.
when facing a dumb tanker like at 22:56, where he shows the underside of his tank, shoot there. its the weakest part of the tank, for every tank, actually...

I'm hoping that other players in the teams don't play like this, there is no regard for player life in this video, why would you walk at someone as you fire an SMG? 1. Find cover, 2. Observe, 3. Stop, aim and fire, 4. Check ammo, reload if needed, 5. Displace to new position. That's how the more 'realistic' team shooters are played (they are meant for tactics), not this arcade run 'n' gun style we see all to often. Players like this are why reinforcement points hemorrage from the team pools.
hey how about the gore? i played the first RO all the time years ago and it was sexily gory, grenades blowing off limbs, tanks desecrating bodies. does it have the same gritty feel to it that the first RO had? i really wanna buy this one and relive my old RO memories. im going to piss my wife off so bad, RO2, BF3, Serious Sam 3 BFE, Skyrim, all going to be absorbed into my harddrive over the next few months haha.

I want this game!!! Great video btw, I enjoyed watching the tank scene around the 20 min mark and hearing all the AI voices that were also operating the tank with you :D Don't know why everyone is hating on your play style though, its a game. You USUALLY play to win, and if you want to take it to the realistic to a T so be it, SPOILER ALERT GERMANS LOST THE WAR!
I like how all of these people are reprimanding your run and gun style. If you were camping in say CoD or Counter-Strike those same people would be bitching. I believe that in realistic games like Red Orchestra, or ArmA, there should be varieties of play styles, like run and gunner, camper, flankers, and just people who hunt enemies. Remember, Strategic FPS's =/= Camping games

Just because my style is different from yours doesn't make it wrong. I've been playing this way since I first loaded DooM multiplayer in 1993.

IF the game is historically accurate when it comes to the tanks then you should have aimed for the tracks on the German tanks were its armor was weak. Right above the front bogie wheels and its should penetrate the armor. just a little tip from a tank nut :P

@gokuvegetatrunks The delay is great, when you shoot someone with a bolt action rifle at 250m, you see a head (aka 2 pixels) popping up over cover, you aim at it after dialing the range of your rifle, you fire and after a fraction of a second, you see the head disappears, the delay leaves you wondering, "did i get him? or did he duck?" and when that little headshot icon pops up 5 seconds later, it's more satisfying than any kill streak any fps can offer.

As to the other garbel, I expect that at least a small effort is shown to speak the language of the country, otherwise a lot of people all of a sudden do not understand a word of english. 1. It depends on what server you play on, most of what you said is a server side option
2. Because in RO1 you were Commander and Gunner or other, now you are Commander or Gunner and the others.
the only reason why its not playable is the stat server always overflowing and messing up stats.

Don't get all the "rambo" comments. He was doing some really good flanking moves, got into some good locations to lay down good fire.

This game is about experience and not about kill death. If you want to care about your kill death over your teammates, then go back to CoD. IF the game is historically accurate when it comes to the tanks then you should have aimed for the tracks on the German tanks were its armor was weak. Right above the front bogie wheels and its should penetrate the armor. just a little tip from a tank nut :P

@gokuvegetatrunks The delay is great, when you shoot someone with a bolt action rifle at 250m, you see a head (aka 2 pixels) popping up over cover, you aim at it after dialing the range of your rifle, you fire and after a fraction of a second, you see the head disappears, the delay leaves you wondering, "did i get him? or did he duck?" and when that little headshot icon pops up 5 seconds later, it's more satisfying than any kill streak any fps can offer.

@Warhammer40k1561 Try again, realistic is when the Germans speak german, and the Russians speak russian. Everything else is bull. As to the other garbel, I expect that at least a small effort is shown to speak the language of the country, otherwise a lot of people all of a sudden do not understand a word of english. That game goes two ways.

Your argument is invalid.
This engine gets improved at a reasonable rate as is Source.
Not to mention I own all the games you mentioned and the only one close/equal is BF3.
And thats being generous. Its is a truly stunning game.
It may not be a crysis level game ( detail wise ) because the mappers knew what to put in the map to show off its good side.
BF3 is good because its above average and its destructible and this game surpasses all CODs.
