quite simple icut the muffler off and replaced with exhaust pipe, then i went to autozone got a cold air intake that fits a civic for cheap. with filter and this chrome piece with 3 holes for ur vacuum lines i spent maybe 100.00. that made this 4runner scream.
I can't decide on getting the A/T's now or saving a few months to get the M/T's.. there are pros and cons to each..one con is I'll be driving bald tires if I save for the M/T's but will it be worth it? Both tires are awesome. Wonder how the Destination A/T's will look 285/75/R16 on my suburban...
Well thanks for watching. The M/Ts would look good but it has a softer rubber and well wear more quickly. This is the second winter these A/T have seen. Work great. Go with the A/T but go a step bigger. Thats what I did on my Explorer. Same rim but a little more side wall, thats sweet. I will be adding another "snow blowing" vid soon. Same area but more snow. I also might go down this weekend. Even more snow? Gotta try to get er stuck LoL. We will do just that. Stay tuned! Goodluck. Go with A/T.
I would suggest going with the 285/75/R16. That is what I have on my 99 Silverado which the normal tire size is usually 265/75/R16. They fill the wheel well out nice and are awesome. I tackled 27 inches of snowfall last winter with no problem. Lots of tread left too and coming up on my third winter.
got em put on today. Definatly worth the coin, man. They handle like a freakin dream in the loose dirt/gravel. No snowfall yet tho, hopefully by the end of next week.
I did have an exhaust mod, I took the muffler off now I have a straight pipe.. The sound quality sucks I know.. Those tires are very nice quiet but the are agressive in the snow and all other terain... I was impressed... They are Firestone Destination A/T.
Sorry it took my so long to respond, I have a cat back, so no muffler for me. Also the ride on those Firestone Destination A/Ts are awesome. Quiet on the interstate at high speeds, and have really good traction!
Was there something wrong with your ford? My sploder starts up always, even in Alaskan winters.

Thankyou! Yeah, tread wear is a big deal, moreso than the look of the tires. Wow, two winters? That's good.. Thankya for your reply!!

Try a 285/80/R16. Maybe u cud fit a 85. Ask ur dealer what the biggest sizer tire you can fit on ur rim

dude that 4runner is better than a shitty explorer!
Buhundred 4 years ago
Nice 4runner. Is it just the camera, or do you have exhaust mods? Also, how's the ride on those tires?
mh744 4 years ago
my 4runner sounds pretty close to that even though its stock
