  • Joker: Riddler! Gimme back my LAUGHING GAS! >_<

  • Wow, they used more explosions in this episode than most of the entire series.

  • Moldavia ?

  • Go Riddler! Work that outfit! :D

  • Okay, whoever told Frank that the plaid outfit worked for him LIED! IT DID NOTHING FOR HIM!

  • LOL!!

  • 2:08 it's the elephant man!

  • In the end fight the Riddler should have pulled there gas masks of then he would have beat them.

  • "Wait for my signal.....Hehehehehehehehehehehehe!!!!.....Hehehehehehehe!!!"

  • Lol "she vanished like a puff of smoke" I cracked up because she literally vanished like a puff of smoke not too long ago.

  • Riddler Asks: "Are you my mummy?"

  • When I was about 5 years old I was terrified of the Riddler coming through the wall with the elephant mask as I thought he killed all those people with gas. I was scared in my classroom at school he would come down a chute through the classroom wall ; I was REALLY scared

  • wow this sires is awsome i may be able to find out what the REAL batman was like

  • isnt laughing gas the jokers gig?

  • Like nobody notices the place filling with smoke!!!!

  • Just how many times does that freaking elephant appear in a Batman episode??!!

  • does anyone know how old Dick Grayson/Robin is in this series?

  • IT WAS BATMAN'S TURN TO BE TORTURED BY THE CROOKS.

  • "Get them, boys!! Get them... OR IT'S CURTAINS!" Such a classic!

  • Master Dick; LOL.

  • @FanOfBats You are a true legend for uploading this! <3

  • too joker

  • 7:04 Alternate dialogue:

Dick: "Molly? You kind of liked her, didn't you?

Bruce: "Yes, Dick. Er...Could you put on that Molly mask again for old times sake?

  • "A Trojan Mammoth, ohhhhh" Gotta love Frank Gorshin as the riddler!

  • Shouldn't that have been, "Holy Red Herring" not 'red snapper'??

  • the riddler is more like the joker

  • ZZZZZWAP!

  • That plaid suit was BOSS.

  • The end here seems to be more like a Joker plot, with the laughing gas and all... I always thought that was a strange way to do a Riddler episode.

  • I like Bruce Willis' Ascot. I will wear one just like that.

  • @sheltv100 I didn't know Bruce Willis was in this! :)

  • @tyranusfan My mistake, it's Bruce Wayne aka Batman played by actor Adam West.

  • I have watched this episode 13 times in the last 24 months. It is one of the very best, along with The Joker is Wild. So riveting, so much detail, so creative.

  • I don´t know since I didn´t read ALL the comments, but am I the only one who finds funny that the happening place is Prime minister´s climax dinner?

  • there is nothing that is not awesome and epic on this show!

  • 7:03 "One thing that makes me heartsick. The ghost of Molly staring at me through the window of my stately manor."

  • God...ignoring the creepy scenes with Dick watching Bruce dancing, the scenes with Bruce ACTUALLY dancing or crying out drunkenly...Frank Gorshin is astounding and sinister and this episode actually gets CLOSE in that respect to comic book Batman.

  • in all these fighting games i play in i always use the riddlers line "get them boys get them or its CURTAINS!!!"

  • this batman series is okay

  • 4:40 THERE'S why I used to like this Batman.

  • How old is Robin supposed to be?

  • never mind Jim Carrey,Frank Gorshin( rest in peace)....IS THE RIDDLER!!!

  • Holy surrealistic imagination! Are there elephants in Moldavia?!

  • When the Riddler put the elephant mask on and was inside the duct, I wonder what he was REALLY saying. It's obvious the original track was dubbed over.

  • the next day in school...

"Dick, why did someone write 'curse you Riddler!' on your Algebra homework?"

  • Episode one aired Jan 12, 1966 - I was in 5th grade - it was the talk of the school the next day.

  • man i need batman to help me with my algebra, that class is killing me.

  • I love the mask

  • Now that's a creepy whully mamoth!

  • I saw this as a toddler on TV in '66. I lived near Washington DC were there is the Museum of Natural History. There is a wholly mamouth there and I thought Batman was gonna pop out of it like he does here.

  • With Molly dying in the Batcave should'nt there be a Police Investigation?

  • noone nows where the batcave is remember?

  • I was being sarcastic, being that Batman is a law abiding crimefighter and a death occured in the Batcave, he should call Commissioner Gordon to investigate...... i realize no one knows where the Batcave is....just sarcastically commenting

  • Comment removed

  • @kdemonde no one has to know...

  • @intheory32 Yes ..no one knew anything lol

  • yeah, but I notice that The Joker does some tings that The Riddler should too. I just don't pay it any mind, it's all still fun to watch.

  • since when does riddler use laughing gas and tell jokes, isn't that the Joker's thing? seem a little out of place. *shrug*

  • riddle me this riddle me that who is a fraid of the big black bat ? :}] i think u can type in batman 19 66 batman framed or something like that to find that episode:}

  • The Batman series was so intentionally corny which is what made it funny.

  • she put grass seeds in her hair and in the morning said I want to be a lawn?

  • Which episode was it where Batman and

Robin are shot at by the police ? i think

Commish Gordon ordered them to be brought in by O'Hara's boys...

  • Not Yet He Ain't!

  • That is The Penguin Goes Straight/Not Yet He A'int.

  • Making fun of her notoriously thick accent. "I want to be alone." probably a reference to some line she did in a movie.

  • Oh God, imagine The Riddler with Laughing Gas, then again, he'll probably displace it... O_O

  • I use the joke Has Anyone Seen My Friend Kursh? joke all the time and still not a single person has gotten the joke but hey thats public highschool for ya lol

  • LOL!

  • why are the vents marked "Air Vent". Who does that anymore?

  • Who did that in the first place?

  • Yes, a goof, in that Molly was not unconscious, when taken to the Batcave, thus she would have known the location. The scene of the party with the Riddler's silly mask, is great. All signs such as "air vent" add to the creativity of this show, the best TV series ever.

  • 7:25 A very well built ship in the night.

  • OMG! Check 5:10!! One of the henchmen totally touched Batman's junk.

And another thing.. isn't laughing gas more of Joker's gig?

    Oh well, great show! ^^

  • What kind of elephant is stuffed with priceless postage stamps?

  • "molly?-you liked her didn't you?"

" of course robin-she has your build"

  • hahahahahahahahahaha

  • I wonder if this clinched Jill's role in Diamonds are forever? Another cute villainess 8-)

  • punching sound effect = "zap"???

  • Wait a minute, the Riddler slid DOWN the air vent to get to the party, but his gang has to blow up the CEILING to get to him... Lol!

  • ....I always knew Devo would turn bad <*¬)X

  • Batman can give me help with my algebra any day.

  • Riddler, Penguin and Joker all had amazing laughes.

  • who knew the riddler was so good at jokes?

  • I love the Riddler's suit he wears during the end fight.

  • notice at 5:21 batman is fighting without his mouthpiece then at 5:39 when he chases the riddler down the hole he has his mouthpiece on again.

  • thanks.

with this story uploaded u now have the complet tv appernces of Frank Gorshin as the Riddler.

(with the exception of the movie)

the only other riddler episodes were with John Astin, who is just not the same.

    Gorshin was the best riddler.

    much better then Jim Carry.

  • ive seen now the series the first time since childhood (almost 20 years ago) and I really like that Riddler actor he is awsome and even though I am a Jim Carry fan I agree with you that this guy does it much better.

  • carry was TO over the top and TO campy.

  • Frank Gorshin is the best! He's my favorite villian. I've even got a western with him in it. He looks good with a thin mustache! =D

  • @deadman00

Astin was called to do the Riddler only because Gorshin refused to. He wanted more money to play him on season 2.

First, producers replaced the Riddler with the Puzzler ("The Puzzles Are Coming" / "The Duo Is Slumming"), then they had no choice but to change the actor. At least Gorshin got back for a single episode on season 3 ("Ring Around the Riddler").

And so both mom and pop Addams (Morticia is Carolyn Jones, who played Marsha, Queen of Diamonds) appeared on season 2.

  • I already know most of that.

the other factor was that Gorshin was unavalible.

but he clearly regretted not reapearing as Riddler since he came back for season three

but by then it was far too late.

in the end Gorshin made the riddler.

  • @deadman00 Oh, good! Then I guess I made no mistakes in my teachings. XD Gotta spread the word.

And agreed, even though I love Jim Carrey, I must admit he screwed up badly on the Riddler (which is mostly Joel Schumacher fault, but still, ugh).

  • um no im smart enough to have already learned all that on my own.

Batman Forever was the better shumacher film. but any way.

  • @deadman00 Yes, yes, I meant spreading the word to whoever gets to read this, not you. =)

  • I always love the no body = not dead ending.

  • burt ward really turns up the camp a notch with the girly body movment when molly takes his place.

and we see a criminal actuly die!

    how bizar is that.

with a few exceptions that wont happen again.

  • Sorry! Jill St. John was in this episode! This was the "first" of the Batman series!

  • That would be cool if they enhanced all of the Batman episodes and put them on DVD like they are with Star Trek.

  • That would happen if Warner Brothers & 20th Century Fox were to make it happen...

  • i saw jill st jhon in a james bond movie dimonads are for ever.

  • Yea. I saw Jill St.John in that same movie! What a coincidence!

And she wasn't even in this episode of "Batman"!

  • Yeah, that's her. Now she is married to Robert Wagner, who starred in Hart To Hart, and was the eyepatch wearing assistant to Dr Evil in the Austin Powers movies. She is also supposedly a genius with something like a 160 IQ. Very pretty in this episode too.

  • @FanOfBats i knew she looked familiar, i just couldn't remember from where!

  • @FanOfBats u mean number 1 from austin powers
