I bought this game the week it came out in the US.:) This game is HILARIOUS. At the end of each day, there's this big dramatic scene where your Dad prays about your love life, and if you kiss anyone, he'll be like "Oh, my son kissed 3 people today!! that's great!"

When you buy this game the instruction manual is also the walkthrough so you don't get fustrated with it... I guess they put that in for the American version...it makes the game ALOT funner... like you're playing out a story.

Why do people burrow underground after being kissed? Why is he kissing everyone? Why is there the same montage every five seconds? that in itself would drive me mad.

They burrow underground because that's where they live. Weird people (like, weirder than the above-ground people, who are pretty weird themselves) live underground in little burrows, which you peek in to get hints on how to kiss them. He kisses them to gain love points. The montage doesn't actually happen like that, there is a lot of time between kisses usually. This guy is just skipping the time.
