  • I have a P01 and it's my favorite gun. CZ's have the best ergonomics.

  • 1. 9mm actually holds 19+1 even though it says 18+1 on the CZ website.

    2. You have the SP-01 Tactical, not the plain SP-01.

    3. That decocker on the SP-01 Tactical is not also a safety. Double action trigger pull is the safety. The one with a safety is the SP-01, the one with both safety and decocker is the P-01 Duty.

  • @b3n1t0th3b055 You mean P-07 Duty, and the decocker or safety can't be installed at the same time. You can easily change them out depending on which you prefer.

  • @yir1988 CZ SP-01 Shadow is definatley one of CZ's best handguns. Here in Israel people love it for practical shooting competitions. It's ergonomic and accurate, very convinient for instinctive shooting (self defense) and for fun in the range. Quite a winner.

As for me, I bought the CZ SP-07 Duty because I rather carry a polymer frame gun. I like it a lot better for everyday carrying. Another reason that made me choose the Duty is its softand smooth triger.

    Try them both before purchase.

  • @yir1988

I'm sorry I just saw the second question.

on the SP-07 duty you can switch the decoking mechanism with a safety - it's one of the gun's features.

the SP-01's design does not include such an option.

  • @yir1988 that's exactly what you asked - why is there a space between the hammer and the slide when you decock it. there has to be a safety gap between the hammer and the back of the firing pin when there's a bullet in the chamber. you can't kick the slide's ass and expect nothing but the firing pin's safety to help you. see it in every CZ, Beretta, S&W, Sig, Jericho, Bull, Colt, Para

the striker is the firing pin. maybe in the US you refer only to a hammerless gun's firing pin as a "striker".

  • the de-cocker is not a safety too. its one or the other. thats how CZ sells them.

  • about the CZ Duty (CZ 75 P-07):

    1) the mag release can be easily switched to the other side, so left handed shooters can use it comfortably.

    2) the gun in the video doesn't have a safety. that's one of the special things about the Duty - you can switch the decocker with a safety mechanism in no-time. you can't have them both simultanusley

  • @yir1988

because if it will go all the way and hit the striker, eventually it will go BOOM.

every double action gun does that - the hammer goes to a special station so it wont hit the firing pin.

  • everyone says these guns are very heavy. what about the sp-01 phantom?

  • @masonrudyg I've shot pretty much every cz or cz clone available with atleast 10 rounds through it....gotta say, I shot the sp-01 tactical, then the sp-01 phantom....felt like I wasn't holding anything. Very light (1.8 lbs?) but still retains the comfy ergonomics, and barely a noticeable increase in recoil for a much lighter polymer frame..

  • @masonrudyg forget about what everyone say and check for the formal specs. on CZ's website. thy're not heavier than other guns in the same category

  • I wish Blackhawk made a serpa for the CZ's.

  • you didnt tell us how many rounds the 40 holds

  • i am going to pick one up soon!

  • I thought you said the last one was in a 40 S&W?

  • OK

They all look great and are cool guns.

But Enquiring minds want to know...

Of the 3, which is your favorite?

WHich is the best shooter for you?

  • Have you experienced any problems with the p-07 mag release not functioning properly? IE pressing the mag release and not having the magazine fall out? For awhile this was an issue with that pistol which is why I held off on buying one.

  • @xb100 CZ USA will repair that issue if you find it in your gun.

  • Nice overview. I have the SP-01 and just ordered the P-07. The SP-01 is built like a tank.

  • @BatoNY65 how are u liking the duty?

  • Ive got a jericho 941 and they are made very similar to CZ guns. Im totally buying a RAMI for my next CC gun.

  • alott of people in our gun cluvbb have the cz and not one off them have failed. One guy have had his for 20 years and almost never cleaned his but he have never had one problem with his.In the beginning i was sceptic about this east European pistol but now i have to eat my words. This is one off the most durable pistol out there.

  • It isn't a safety, it is a decocker, not both. Some of the CZ' s can be switched back and forth, but there is a big difference between the 2.

  • Not a damn thing like a Glock,,,

97 B or 97 BD, and they are the same design as the 75 B and BD respectivly.

    .

  • Never Play With A Loaded Gun Buddy.

  • excellent presentation nicely done, its so refreshing that you did not put some loud horrid music with your video clip thanks for the info big CZ fan hear. cheers

  • You forgot to mention the P-07 is interchangeable... Decocker or manual safety. In the mean time bask in the accuracy and ergonomics of a well built pistol. -

  • You can switch the de-cocker for a safety if you prefer

  • thanks for the mini review

  • I love my new P07. It shoots very well as a cz should and fits my hand like a custom pistol.. Buy one Academy is selling them for $399.00. Great deal.

  • i heard the polimer one was having some problems.

  • wait, when you picked up the last 2 guns you said they r both 9mm, then when you compared them in size you said one was .40cal...which is which my man

  • does the magazine in the p-07 release all the way out ?

some p-07 owners have that problem

  • @macuarr0 I contacted CZ about the Magazine not coming out or "dropping" and they told me that is behavior by design to retain the magazine. There is a pressure plate near inside the handle that keeps magazine from dropping. They told me if I need to have that removed, the gun has to be shipped back to CZ. The Police versions do not have the pressure plate.

  • Thank you for your info.

I will keep my gun for more testing and then send it back to CZ if need it

so far I have 1000 rounds free of trouble.

I had this P07 for only one month. the plastic rod spring is wearing fast, so Im going to order a metal one from steve badair. very happy with my P07 Duty

  • Indeed, this is my regular carry gun. It trust it more than my Glock mainly because I too have shot over 1000 rounds through it without even a single jam or any other issue. My guide rod is fine. However, I think I'll order the steel one. It looks too damn cool!

  • I like cz. i dont know why but cz 100 is my favorit one.

    good review

  • do they come in .45?

  • yes, we just didn't have one for the video

  • @Guyya93 @GunWebsites Actually that is incorrect. The P07 and the SP-01 Tactical (decocker model) are only available in .40 & 9mm, and the standard SP01(safety) is only offered in 9mm. However, CZ does offer a full size .45: the CZ 97.

  • @Guyya93 cz 75's are only in 9x19 or .40 S&W. The cz 97 is the .45 ACP cousin of these though :)

  • @Guyya93

It's called the 97B. Ambidextrous version is the 97BD

  • ive heard cz pistols are very good guns. whats your experience with them???

  • don't own any, but I've shot pretty much all the models..

They shoot well, are comfortable and durable

But a bit too heavy for me

  • Look some information about the "CZ 75 P 01 Compact". That's a beautiful gun and it's easy to carry because it's fairly compact. Try out the videos of this guy "Rugersix"

  • @dp665 Yup all except for the p07.

  • love the cz series

  • i like CZs the grip feels absolutely perfect in my hand. one thing i wasnt too thrilled about was how little slide you have to grab onto when you're racking it... though that does decrease muzzle flip i have heard.

  • good point, I would agree with the small slide issue

  • i can get those herein canada...they r a high seller and become a resoled...the thing i like about the C.Z. is they can handle abuse..thats y i think they r a high seller..lots of compation shooter here in canada have told me to by this make..i like th e1911..i am a huge 1911 fan..more of a colt fan than anny other modle ..to bad for me not selling colt in canada anny more ;{..have to settle for kimber or C.Z...I liek the condition one carry..gives me a good feeling..good vid
