  • Thanks for the lesson, you are awesome!

  • woooow u really memorize them u r saying them so fast may be because u r playing piano for 17 years thanks for the video

  • Comment removed

  • You just need to memorize the notes. Remember that the first note of the chord is what scale it's in. So if you know what the first note is you can name the scale just as easily.

  • I'm sitting here clapping at my screen, amazing lesson!

  • looll the begining is 2 funyy " heyy guys ima big douche woohooo yeahhh"

  • @pressle

    indeed

    ahaha

  • ya no kidding

  • do we have to memorize chords?

  • you are amazing

  • Aww, no augmented chords?

  • Hi,

you're amazing! Tell me, how do you deal with pain in the hands when practicing??

  • Thats easy to answer... keep practicing, but my hands hurted at the begining but like 3 or 4 classes later they didnt hurt , you just have to practice, and if they hurt keep it, dont stop.... and by the way, Andrew thanks for this!

  • @JuanMa940924 Their not supposed to hurt. If they do, you need to pretend you're holding a bubble while your playing.

  • i love ur videos- ur my official piano instructor plus a good teacher make a video*

  • You're a good teacher, I wish mine (Miss Sharp (true) woz like you when I woz 11. Am definitely gonna try that it makes a lot of sense instead of trying to run before I can walk and throwing the piano out the window; Now get out in the sun and get some fresh air dude. Yes I like your shirt.

  • Yo!!! Soon I'm gonna be a great Darts player!!

  • What's the music at the beginning?

  • cause hes doin right hand and left hand to gethe so that extra c u see is the bass left hand c bass and the right hand is a c major C E G

  • Oh, kay thanks.

  • omg hes so funny :p

  • i thought c major is C E and G? But why is it C E G and C?

  • oh my god, you're such a dumb ass.

  • Shuddup, i don't even take piano classes. Just saying. :/

  • wats a semi tone

  • the next closet note or 1/2 step as i say::

like c to c# or c to Bb.

  • You can see you were driving in a car with the roof down - your hair looks awesome - ;-)

  • I dare you to make a lesson without saying anyway or so =)

  • Can i know what are chords for??

  • arpegios are awsome

  • Do you think its better to move chromatically?

Whats the difference in doing it chromatically and by the circle of fourths? Does it make any difference?

I know I do it chromatically all the time. I sometimes get out of the habbit of playing in the circle of fourths.

  • uhhh, uhhh yeah

  • tha was a very good class my friend,, you´re very fan too hehe , thanks

  • its just an arpegio on your c major

  • whats C#m7???

  • C# F G# C

  • waw

  • haha A recent study by a world class marksman (tomahawks and a few other sharp projectiles) shows that throwing-style accuracy is increased when we throw instinctively not slowy and cognitively. You're right about getting the exercise down slowyly first and then speeding it up (Speed should be a by-product of accuracy) but that doesn't really apply to your dart analogy. Thanks for your teaching (I'm not knocking your method or anything) I just wanted to share all of that. Great exercise!

  • 11:25 naughty, naughty ;)

  • yay!!!!

  • holy... this is great!! lol

  • what is a chord thats made up of a G, B flat and a, E flat

  • E flat major chord, in first position (from the order you described.)

  • So if i understood it correctly it is possible to study chords without knowing what they are?

Just learning one and after that another with moving all fingers equal amount to any direction -result is always another chord!? :O

Of course at some point it requires to know what they are but if this is true i have something to start with.

learning those chord positions so long that my fingers start to 'know' them. =)

Another usefull thing to practise in practise might be most used scales?

  • in fact, some people use these fundamental techniques to self teach themselves and write their own music and often create their own techniques.

  • Wow thank you. You have taken the mystery and slog out of it for me.

  • Yup.

  • Is a C chord the same as a C major just that you dont say major all the time?

  • If someone says "a C chord" it is assumed that it is C Major. Its just an abbreviation. Other chords, like minor, diminished, and augmented need to be stated after the note name.

  • although it is important to practice chords chromatically, i think playing round the cycle of fifths is a more useful exercise as music tends to move in this way (up fourths/down fifths)

C, F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db etc

  • man its like 3 degrees here

  • You're the greatest. Thank you.

  • man u r quick doing that..just cool it

  • Dorky looking guys are HOT!

  • Please tell me, korg sg pro-x is good piano? wath is better to choose between sg-prox and Kurzweil sp 2x. Please help me

  • (The 3. chord you've played is a minor chord. I tell this, beacause of your pupils. ;))

I think you are a really good teacher. Congratulations to your piano lessons, they are very useful. I hope you'll upload some more later!

    Stick it in! :)

  • its no minor chord

    its d major

  • its d minor ^^ you can tell that just by listening to it, but also if you look closely you can see him playing f instead of f#

  • hey

I need your help. i love change is hard (she & him) but I could only find the chords. since I don't know any chords, I was hoping you could tell me the notes:

Dm,F#m,G,A7. Replace the F#M with an Em when appropiate in the 'chorus'.

anyone who reads this is welcome to try.

    thanks

  • Dm - D F A F#m - F# A C# G - G B D A7 - A C# E G (em) - E G B however i would alternate inversions for nice voice leading and play it: Dm - D F A F#m - C# F# A (Em) - E G B G - D G B A7 - C# E G A It's always good practice to try and restrict chord sequences to one octave (not just C-C - choose different ranges) To practice inversions and voice leading
