  • That's not actually a baby either, that's probably close to full grown. Some species are larger, but many are actually really small.

  • DUDE..!

  • @coolmike836 maybeeeeeeeeeee your immune, seeing that the bites are suppose to be painless....and maybe you are a super hero! ever think of that? maybe try it again...just to be sure!? and then there is only one thing left...choose good or evil!?

  • Obviously wasn't your time, or the octopus was in a good mood that day. Either way, you are one lucky bastard.

  • The blue ringed octupus make good sushi Mike - very tasty.

  • @coolmike836 dont listen to those idiots, yes you made a mistake but thats what happens when you're not from this country, a lot of people have no idea. you could have been English or Canadian or dutch and they would say the same thing. maybe you should add some comment in here or change the title saying not to do this as it is dangerous.

  • @Chazzrat lols ty for not being one of them ... 1 reason im still a teenager i did not know about the dangers of these creatures and 2nd it's my first time seeing it

  • Wow. If you intentionally did this to show off, you win.

  • put an ad on this - you could make money from almost dying...

  • LOLwut

  • Don't pick up anything you don't know about. That shit kills.

  • Please rename the Video to: Lucky guy didn't get killed by Blue-ringed octopus.

So, more people can learn from it :D

  • ur a lucky guy man

  • HOLY CRAP octopus aren't know to be aggressive and biter biters but HOLY CRAP. You have and arch angel watching over you

  • Dear God,

Why do you continue to let the stupid ones live? And then strike down on the innocent passerby who happens to swim by one or walk by a bee hive minding their own business? Why??

  • @Gooberjelly11 Probably because God is a fictional character created by man to explain all of the unknowns in the universe. This guy is just plain lucky, yet had he died as a result it would have futhered the survival of the fittest hypothesis that much more.

  • @Gooberjelly11 Fro all I know, he likes people living.

  • You are lucky to be alive.. Never pickup anything unless you know what you are picking up.

  • Country:

    Indonesia

    Explains the stupidity...

  • Oh, and Darwin Awards here we come. Good job on not dying.

  • Elemental mercury isn't dangerous. Its mercury compounds you gotta watch out for.

You could drink a beaker of liquid mercury and you'd poop it out. I wouldn't suggest it though.

  • The blue-ringed octopus, despite its small size, carries enough venom to kill 26 adult humans within minutes. Furthermore, their bites are tiny and often painless, with many victims not realizing they have been envenomated until respiratory depression and paralysis start to set in.

not to mention there is NO anti-venom available. You cannot fathom how lucky you are.

  • Dear lord, that thing could have killed you.

  • This is not unlike that other video of some guy juggling a gob of liquid mercury around in the palm of his hand

  • @valcaron

    ohlawd

    link?

  • Yeah, I got the chills watching that.

Cute, but damn that's just toying with your own life.

  • wow. . .maybe they should find a stonefish to cuddle next

  • Aww, how cute.

And deadly. The blue-ringed octopus is currently recognised as one of the world's most venomous animals. >.>

  • Oh dear god. I think that's a blue-ringed octopus... You do know those are poisonous, right? Potentially lethal?

  • awww that's so cool!
