GORGEOUS! I've never seen so much hairspray! I love how they made soem of the pictures look like the ones you'd find in a histpry book with a moder twist!
She is so privileged to have a life like this, its not so much about the money cause anyone can have that but more so the experience of a living so many peoples dreams in her reality.
Fun foreshadowing fact! After Kirsten Dunst played Claudia in Interview with the Vampire she was presented by Anne Rice with an antique watch with a picture of Marie Antoinette. She was meant to play her!
Kirsten Dunst is an amazing actress and shes one of my favorites but I really think they should have had a different actress play Marie Antoinette. Kirsten did a good job but I think it would have been better if they had chosen an actress who looks more like the real Marie Antoinette. Racheal McAdams perhaps?
@KISSMEMYFOOL69 the reason they had Kirsten Dunst, is because of her outgoing " party-girl" attitude, and her exhuberance to being the girl-child that took the throne. Marie was a selfish- spoilt brat, who cared nothing for other people's troubles and in turn, Kirsten really captured that essence. I think that they choose the right one, because Rachel is kinda too subdued,to really delve into that essence that the part called for..
@mintgumdropz1 Marie was spoiled, but not selfish. She also cared for others. Those are the rumors the French have created that have strongly covered her image. Kirsten was chosen cause of what you said, and also she can portray the image of a party girl who has a bad reputation. Plus she also posess some Austrian features.
Man, that Alexander McQueen gown was just GORGEOUS. And I loved they let her natural hair down, and didn't over dramatize the make up, she looked beautiful. And that Oscar de la Renta gown, just stunning dahling, stunning. :p
I really do like that black/blue dress at the end. I want to throw a 18th century, dark faerie court, Tim Burton inspire masquerade for my birthday this summer, and I would really love to wear a dress like that to my party, and have a grand carriage to step out of. Lol.
I love XVIII century!! The dresses from "Marie Antoinette" are not like dresses in XVIII century but have much in common. I like that idea to ask fashion designers to make some popculture Marie Antoinette dresses. In my opinion Galliano is the best :) What you think?
In a weird way I wish we could dress like that or a simpler version of like that. I think sometimes the more one has on the more sexy one is or can be.
I love how the cover dress is the one she askes Ambassador Mercy in the film whether he likes it "with ruffles or without." But they didn't show that dress finished in the movie! (So thanks for putting it on the cover!)
this is SUCH a beautiful photo shoot. I lost my chance to buy it when it came out, I ended up getting it for $50 from a rare magazine collector. TOTALLY worth it! *sigh*
love the video really good
