the original was, BY FAR more horrifying and spine chilling, and thats exactly what the game was designed for, to scare the living daylights out of anyone who played it and make people afraid of 3 things, air vents, space, and other people

the 2nd one completely killed the concept of dead space, it replaced the narrow corridors with flickering lights and mutilated bodies, with lighter lit rooms and wider rooms. And the conbcept of the 1st was split second thinking in dead space you had a few seconds to react to what was going on, dead space 2 involves, for me, pointlessly running around rooms shooting at enemies that hardly move

They need to make more solo games like this and less of of COD/Battlefield kind of games. I can still see myself playing games like Dead Space I & II ten years from now since it has strong single player gameplay and story. Titles like COD & Battlefield end up getting sold or traded for newer ones once the online multiplayer content in them become null and void of any activity.
