What an INCREDIBLE talent! You can STILL see the puck marks on the footings of the Seguin River bridge where he practised constantly in the winter months as a kid.
He was the best of the best, period! I remember during the 1974-75 season, Don Cherry started using Orr on the wing during the power plays ( you B's fans remember that!). Orr stiil covered the defensive end on broken plays...people tend to forget just how great a defenseman he really was in light of all the points he racked up.
his +/- was +124 in the 1971 season - that's the all time record. Instead of impressing everyone with your in depth game-by-game knowledge, you've instead made yourself look like a complete hack. Good job.
@34Packardphaeton You're going to pass judgement for his being on the ice for 6 goals one game? What about his other "superhuman" feats? Mr.,...you are a World Class A$s-h0Ie. goFKyourself.
@34Packardphaeton ASSHOLE!!! when Montreal stars like Guy Lafluer, Serge Savard etc call Bobby Orr the best player ever and then some douche bag like you comes on here to write his bullshit just makes me sick, youre a twat and should you fuck off!!

Orr was over-rated. Doug Harvey was better before him,
and others were better afterwards . . such as Larry Robinson.
If Orr was so great, why was he on the ice for six (6) straight
goals against Monteal on 4/8/71, turning a likely Boston win
into a dreadful loss, 7 - 5. That was the real reason that the
Habs won----not Dryden, the rookie.
