when u look at the side of the box in game stop, it already has the basic game and the rest of the expansions...u dont need to buy the first game in order to buy the rest...but i wanna buy this game, it looks pretty cool, and i used to play FFXI and wow...this game looks darker than the rest of em.

I'm 99% sure you need all older expansions except the adventure packs to play Shadow of Odyssey ;)
