@tisilwm You mean you don't know. It's quite sure that the universe is indeed expanding at an ever increasing rate since the big band. Look it up dude.
@ArtistryofDebauchery but thats impossible. the mass of the universe must stop at one point . unless its comeing from a worm hole in the middle. it could have stopped, it could be already contracting. the big bang is just a theory, so know one really knows
@tisilwm For all we know, maybe there is no unvse and we all are sleeping in one big dream (the matrix). But yes, the BBT can be proven wrong. But as for now, there is too much evidence supporting it. Causes for the big band are indeed ambivalent, one proposition is that we are the tail end of a black hole existing in another universe. We may be at the exit or a "white hole" and matter is spilling out. But from what we have discovered, the unvse expands too fast for gravity from mass to stop it
@ArtistryofDebauchery or mabey were all in one big matrix and when we die we go into one big dream . look up dmt , the spiritual drug. but who the fuck knows man , its scary, dreaming, its another dimension and surly where you go when you die DMT DMT DMT DMT DMT
@sandrodream1 There is not "for me" in physics. You start with observations and you interpret them. For you is a centrifugal force making the galaxies to move further away from each other? Why not a 4-dimensional man blowing inside his 4-dimensional ball that contains all the galaxies? By the way, anti-matter is a very well-defined kind of matter: same properties of ordinary matter but opposite electric charge. Nothing more than this
@sandrodream1 IF (and only if, since there are no direct evidences for the moment) there is any anti matter production, it will be quite close to the BH event horizon. But this has quite nothing to do with this topic. Do you know, btw, what anti-matter is? Or anything about the physics of accretion?
@sandrodream1 A BH is always inside a galaxy, which in turn contains a huge amount of gas. That gas is attracted by the BH. The intense luminosity is coming from the accretion disk made of very hot gas infalling onto the black hole. It's basic astronomy
@sandrodream1 Have you got only a marble on a stick inside that thick skull of yours? Quasars are fucking trillions of miles away, it takes millennia for light to reach us from there. The only knowledge of quasars we have are hundreds of thousands of year old light and fuzzy radiation cluttered up with all of the electromagnetic noise from the other quintillion objects in space. Dogs simply can hear higher pitched sound than us, so your point, whatever you were tying to make, is invalid.
@sandrodream1 No, I mean do you have any tangible scientific proof of your theory, or any research? "White holes" haven't been proven, we can barely even detect the existence of black holes. Black holes are not holes, they are superdense spheres of matter so dense that they exert force on even light. Quasars, to my knowledge, emit energy much like stars. There are no "black stars" that suck in everything from somewhere and release it through stars.
@sandrodream1 No, I'm stating facts. What proof do you have that they are portals? So a star explodes and creates a wormhole (which scientists don't even know if they're physically possible), or all those billions of tons of matter collapse into a super dense object, which makes more sense?
@sandrodream1 Based on what fact? All black holes are are superdense objects that suck everything into them, making them denser. They aren't portals >.>
I'd like to thank you for this video. Furthermore, if you had Carl Sagan's voice I would watch this every night. But alas, I will stick with Cosmos ;) (yes back then they did not know what a Quasi Stellar Radio Source was). Thanks again!
@cctsyadzxsuna51 ???? Hypernovae might be anywhere in a galaxy. A quasar is NOT at the centre of the universe. It is a galaxy at which center a supermassive back hole is accreting matter, and emitting for this reason a huge amount of radiation
@supergiuovane That supermassive black hole at the centre of a galaxy eccreting matter and and emmiting radiation is called a HYPANOVA. It is a supanova (pulsar) that could be anywhere in a galaxy.
At the centre of this universe, there is essentially a black hole with a much much larger gravitational pull, which is why it emmits so much radiation. this is called a Quasar.
@cctsyadzxsuna51 You seem a bit confused.. Hypernovae are NOT SM black holes accreting matter, they're just the final point of stelar evolution. Second there is NO centre of the universe. And third a Quasar is exactly a supermassive black hole accreting matter at a very high rate. Any astronomy book will tell you that.
Why are people arguing about the existence of God on this video? It's not like one contradicts the other... God designed the universe as well, I think quasars are just some of his most beautiful creations in the universe. Any super religious people who deny science have less faith than they should, as they have exchanged the truth for a lie in order to prove something they secretly believe is false.
The god botherers fear based faith is all that they have, they would still be burning ppl at the stake if religion held sway. So God killed his son, for your sins 2000yrs before you were born! what a genius, what a great dad,and Fuck me last time i saw Jesus he was nailed to a cross-;couldnt even scratch his balls if he wanted to.Get brave little believers we are in it on our own.
without GOD there'd no reason to become a scholar...pple become scholars such as these in order to try in the least understand GOD's Grace on the astronomical level
@bigstee009 Without the advent of agriculture about 12000 yrs ago people lacked the time to specialise in anything other than survival thats how we came to understand the natural world not because god 'made it so'
hahaha and of course "gravitational lensing" is trotted out to explain what is obviously four objects into one object fortuitously placed for such a bizarre and unexplainable lensing. Never mind the fact that repeated experiments show "gravity" has exactly zero affect on electromagnetic radiation such as light.
As long as astronogers try to rely on mechanical force of "explosions" and "shock waves" to explain what they see in space they will forever stray into hallucinatory terrain. This idea of quasars being "powered" by a "black hole" into which an entire galaxy has fallen is so cartoonish and stupid I can hardly believe people fall for it.
As for the origin of quasars, they are ejected electrically from their parent galaxies. Halton Arp established this decades ago.
The sky is filled with examples of quasars in direct physical connection with their parent galaxies. It's not really up for debate, this is what we've observed for decades. Quasar observations helped kill redshift = distance = velocity assumptions.
This idea that "spacetime" can be "warped" is idiotic in the extreme. Space and time are both just virtual coordinate systems human beings invented to help describe reality, they don't correspond to anything real.
This video continually makes mention of "agreement" between "scientists". Science is not performed by consensus. Consensus has lead to retarded ideas like "warped spacetime" and "black hole" and "big bang" being taught as science.
Quasars are not necessarily (and most likely not at all) the "brightest objects in the universe". Redshift = distance = velocity assumptions haven't held true over a century of investigation. Quasars are not all incredibly distant, as astronogers' assumptions lead them to believe.
Why can't you zealots realize this is a cosmology video? I swear you guys always end up bringing the "God or no God" discussion in every video's comments.
I DON'T CARE if you believe in God or not, this is absolutely NOT the point of these videos. At least science pushes us forward, else we'd still be stuck in old mysticism.
So go pray to whatever God may be and leave us scholars alone.
Oh I do believe in God, but I restrain myself from using theological views with cosmology. I pity deeply religious people as they only believe in their faith.
You call me an asshole without even knowing me, you assume too much about me, which effectively makes you an ignorant.
@DoctorYoda1 Hypocrite now? I just want people to stop talking about damn religion in a freaking cosmology video! What is it you don't understand?
Don't bother replying to me, you just want to get on a personal level and I refuse to let me myself be bothered by someone who doesn't bring any arguments but just plain insults me. Take a chill pill man.

@S0lidState Emptyness? No, my friend... Examine the Ultra Deep Field photos from Hubble.
The universe is full, just with a bit of distance in between.

How are quasars born? Simple - they are created when Chuck Norris burps.

without GOD there'd no reason to become a scholar...pple become scholars such as these in order to try in the least understand GOD's Grace on the astronomical level

Have a nice day.
Promelair 1 year ago
@Promelair Well i deduced that you are an asshole simply from the fact that you are a hypocrite.
DoctorYoda1 1 year ago
@DoctorYoda1 Hypocrite now? I just want people to stop talking about damn religion in a freaking cosmology video! What is it you don't understand?
Don't bother replying to me, you just want to get on a personal level and I refuse to let me myself be bothered by someone who doesn't bring any arguments but just plain insults me. Take a chill pill man.
