  • OMG its the duke!!!

  • can you do this exercise with dumbells or just ropes ?

  • absolutely great explanation about training. Not the shouting and stuff from other movies on YT.

I'm not a beginner in fitness, but still I keep learning from this guy.

    Keep 'm coming Kirk!

  • Duke Nukem !!!

  • Well speaking as a person that's watching these videos as a beginner, looking for tips. For future reference I would say it would be a lot more helpful if you stated a recommended number of sets and break period between sets. It's kinda hard to gauge how to use this exercise w/o that info. I've watched a few of the videos on this channel and they generally say how many reps to do, but never how many sets for a daily workout or cool down period between each set.

  • oh my extension it's so pumped, steriods make you gay this guy proves it

  • This exercise works!! Brilliant results!

  • hey there nice stuff, 1 question - the machine or weights is behind him/you right?

    gotta try this one out,

  • finally an EXPERT on expert village

  • Really good tips you got on your videos for us beginers! Thanks allot Expertvillage! :)

  • FUCK THE ADS

im never going to by anything by intel!

  • narukäsi.

  • makes sense, i think everyone should have demonstrations done before they start at any gym just to get proper form......as i always say...

"failure to prepare is preparing to fail"

  • @MrGodgiven6 yep I wont do a exercise if I dont know how to do it correctly. Its kinda nice that there is friendly peeps @ my gym and I can just ask em to watch my form and they will give me tips where Im going wrong :)

  • @MrGodgiven6 or go with somone who knows how to workout

  • VIDEO FAIL, CAN'T SEE SHIT.

  • @robertjohnson487 well, it's not a video about 'shit' but, if that's what you were looking for, then you are right. video fail for not being able to see turds.

    >.> lol.

  • @DJOpaixMusic Good one, lol

  • we call them horse dicks at the gym

  • LOL holy cow. I always do it facing the other way. I don't even think I noticed a pad.

  • @Tellingitlikeitis09 well pad isint all that needed

  • @jorge12app when you go heavey its needed but when you use the cross bar you dont need a wall pad even when goin heavey cus you mostly bent over anyways

  • good video

  • is it beneficial to work on chest, abs,or triceps and biceps until your body fails, everyday and then break for 1 day?or to work on a different one every day until your body fails and then break for one day?

  • @whipoutmycock420 if you have the time, you should try to work 1 muscle group per day and hit them hard. if you schedule it right, you'll have about 7 days for your muscle to recuperate.

  • @omgstfudavid What do you target? I do legs, arms, shoulders, chest and back. I rotate that day by day and leave 1 day for rest after the previous 5 days.

  • @ltshinta i use to workout mon. to thur. i only worked on my upper body anyways

  • best tricep exercise i think, one arm doesnt really dominate because you have to pull apart at the bottom

  • how many series should i do( im a beginner)

  • @lundpyara

I'd say you should go for 15x3 reps.

  • wow i feel dumb iv been doing this for like 6 months and i never made my arms split on the bottom like that /facepalm glad i watched this.

  • @des696969 that will not matter mate. youll still gain alot mass from not splitting them

  • @Screamersmusic aight thx

  • Kirk seriously is one of the best teachers

  • Love how these lesson's are deaf friendly unlike these damn commercials i see all the time...

  • Download all the bodybuilding ebooks for free at ebooksearchengine com bodybuilding Documents, Ebooks,Pdfs & Ppt files all for free.

  • I suggest high - reps :)

  • I did this exercise the opposite way my body facing the machine. I guess it doesn't matter too much. I normally do 10 to 12 but 12 to 15 is ok too. I'd probably use lighter weights if you going to to around 15 though.

  • the man is a very good teacher, well done nan.

  • id prefer 8-12 reps... 15 is too much in my opinion

  • tru, but all depends what ur goals are. stength, size, or endurance

  • In a gym like that I would probably go every day after school and train for about three hours, but my local gym is packed with people all the time, so you can't use the equipment you want and almost only the very heavy and the very light dumbbell are available, it sucks.

  • i have a noob question: i understand that u ar suggesting 15 per set, but how many set is optimal? also is it good to do different execises between sets?

  • @mistyken do 5 sets! ive been doin 5 sets 20 reps each and getting some good results.

  • @ohokayhaha except im doing half of my normal training weight of course so its possible lol

  • good video. Merlin you can get rid of moobs by targeting chest muscles it will make them look bigger because the muscle under the fat will get larger. do cardio to get rid of moobs. XD

  • @Mrbasslifire I am 12 and I lift 7kg in each hand so yeah you should start I started at 12 so yeah your 15 I think by 15 I would be pretty good ripped

  • you want it big, then you need to work on building the weights. i started around 20 the first week, and 2 months later i'm pulling 80lbs. don't start at high weights because you'll injure yourself. let your muscles heal before you move up in weights. if you want it toned, then just do low weights and high reps until you get that burn. or you can do high weights and not do them as often, then you'll get the tone. my triceps are definitely toned growing these days.

  • haha im referring to the feeling mate.

    not the results.

    haha.

  • this is a burning exercise for the triceps.

3 sets of 12 at maximum intensity's gonna burn those muscles!

  • depends wot kind of body u have and wot ur goal is

  • How many sets are you suppose to do???? are you suppose to do one exercise and do a few sets right after each other or should you do one set then do another exercise and come back to it???

  • you shud do 2 - 3 sets of the exercise.

if your lookin to build muscle, do a heavy weight and do between 6-8 reps each set. if toning just do lighter weights but more sets

  • if u want to foucus on trisep more ,,

do the same but only in full extenshon then go back half way of what he showez

wid moore waight and less speeeed

  • om now 40 years old and was a competing bodybuilder at 21 years old. Its amazing how much of these exercises ive forgotten to do correctly, i find these videos a real help so many thanks!

  • bIG MUSCLES LITTLE PETER..

  • this exercice seems to me better if u use a bar instead of ropes, somehow it feels better with bar

  • The rope extension/pushdown is one of the best exercises for triceps. It's a very hard exercise imo. You have to remember to keep your elbows against your body. You should also drop the weight until you're able to get the maximum extension/contraction. My top 3 favorite triceps exercises: rope pushdown, bench dips, standing one arm dumbbell extensions.

  • now i work this rope extention, but still also do it with short bar,and i know how its done,Lol its all explained in the vid :D

  • I see, try this routine: 1st exer: standing one arm dumbbell extensions 2nd exer: bench dips with a plate placed on your quads 3rd exer: rope pushdowns .... 3 sets each 12, 10, 8

  • ok,i do it most exercises 3 sets 12,10,8

  • cool, do a total of only 9 sets for triceps. your triceps will recover faster and build more mass. if you do more than 9 sets you'll overtrain them. I see guys at the gym doing 21 sets killing themselves and they wonder why they make no progress. lol

  • Wow, a great system to write this senseless text so we can't see the vid.

  • form, control and a not to heavy of a weight will give the tris great definition.

  • Wish my gym was as empty as that

  • yeah, with a hot chick and a cold drink too uh?

    that'd be cool

  • @Azurju Go in the mornings.

  • @Azurju Seriously...

  • @Azurju my wife co-worker has a gym and a swimming pool in her building i so wanna move there get some early morning workouts befor other people wake up i will look into moving there in 6 months

  • i see so many people cheat at this in the gym, they are either leaning into it or adding small body jerks to get the rope down.

  • this is more of a detail exercise to polish off that outer head; if you see people leaning into it they're using too much weight. I don't agree with keeping your elbows back at your sides like a barbell curl, involves too much shoulders..I like to bend a little at the waist and psh straight down..that way all the stress is on the triceps with minimal assistance from the shoulders.

some guys do power pushdowns where you lean into it for more power and heavier weight. it's still controlled.

  • How many sets?

  • try 2-3 for beginners.

    3x10

    or

    2x10

  • very good video!

  • yes u idiot but some body did not know so we had to explain to him freedomWhiperer..

    fucken read and u commonsence.

  • How much is one rep?

  • 1 rep is basically just 1 of wateva exercise your doin

  • Whatever kid.

And besides someone already gave me a response.

  • what Tricep is????

    is for workout the muscle?????

  • actually the triceps are the outer part of your arm

  • hmmmm ok thx

  • the gym I go to doesn't have a cable machine like that

  • hi how can i reduce the fat from my chest by using weights ang exercise? tnx

  • hey i didn't know that if you do less than ten reps you didn't get anything out of it, i've got to start doing that because on press i usally go 10,8,5 is that enough

  • that isn't true if you go to burnout with some heavier weight and don't hit the gym for too long each day you will BUILD vs Strength training.

  • should i do more reps at a lesser weight or should i do less reps with more weight because i am trying to become stronger however i plan to play baseball so i dont want to be huge but i want to become strong

  • Okay you would probably want to find a weight that you can do 3 sets of 10 reps per work out, enough to strain you but not FULL failure you at the end, each set you should be able to complete without stopping if you get what im saying, that will build strength, its almost like there is a thin red line for some people between building and strength training, I push like 6 7 8 in a set that pushes me to full failure and sometimes in some of those sets i have to breath for like 10 seconds cuz Ibuild

  • Great video...

    keep guiding like this...

thanks.i have been doing gym for about two months & 4 day a week.but i hace 29 inch waist.my chest is well but is there any exercise you recommending to widen waist.

please let me know.and i am skinny.

  • sorry bud, the only thing you can do to make your waist bigger is to eat and let it get fat. your core muscles (abs and lower back) only develop is size to a point. they dont keep getting bigger like your other muscles, they only get "tighter" and more toned.

  • That's not 100% right: All the muscles in your body only develop to a certain size. No matter where they are located, they got a natural limitation on big they can get. Only roids can burst those limits.

And the thing with the "less than 10 reps won't do anything good" is equally wrong. Less reps with heavy weight will do a lot for your strength, whereas high reps/low weight will develop mostly your endurance.

  • you know what i meant

  • These videos are OK but are definitely for total beginners.

  • That may be true, but I constantly see people doing the simplest of exercises wrong. The sad thing is some of them try to teach others of their incorrect techniques!!!

  • sry mister expert !!!!

    good comment ... :s

  • THe use of dumbells would be better then rope!

  • thanks i was about to ask if dumbells could be used.

  • ropes like this need you maintain a strong grip so less pressure is placed on the small finger so taking more energy to do and more stress on the wrists, much more perfect to do single underhand grip that places no stress on the tendons on the inside and outside of the forearm, radi and ulna are crossed in this and so are alot of tendons.

  • wow ang ganda ng prog i like it very much from me master_jimz hehehe

  • Very informative. Thanks for sharing!!

  • thx, this excercies is very good, thx for explaining how xx

  • So I guess everything with this guys videos are going to be "use FAR less weight than you can handle, do it real slow, and do it 15 reps".

Yea if you're a powerlifter, wrestler, boxer, martial artist, shot putter, discus thrower, or sprinter, you need to do it this way too. You wouldn't want to WIN any of those competitions now would you???

  • I rather do each arm at a time, I do it differently but its harder than 2 arms at once.

  • hehe i do it every time

  • "because you use a rope..." !!!no shit!! realy?

  • really?? no shit sherlock...

  • This is the antithesis of workout knowledge. Complete and utter commercial garbage.

  • Nice Work!

  • Sweet
