  • wow that engine is half the boat lolz

  • @TravisKilpatrick23 Not sure if there is a significant difference in the way marine and auto engines are turbocharged but there are at least three other marine engine builders that offer them. And they all make at least 1500hp. Two advantages are 1) new electronic engine management controls have done away with the dreaded "turbo lag" and 2) much milder cams can be used so there is not the thrashing you get with blown engines. And "blown" is just a street term for supercharged. Hope this helps.

  • Such sexy boats but I know a guy with an Outerlimits and it can get pretty obnoxious when he just sits there getting ready for 10 minutes.

  • super fucking cool!!!!

  • If someone is going to take the dock line off of my boat, put the cleat down please.

  • like the Mercury 1350s

  • Sure did waste a lot of fuel sitting there over 5min. BMH why didn't you go forward and give us a better look in the engine bay and cockpit? Motors sounded great but I got tired of them after about 2min.

  • Great shot of the motors...what kind are they?? I couldn't get a good look...hahaha

  • @highvelocity123 turbocharged 1350's....

  • @highvelocity123 turbocharged 1350's....

  • @BigMammasHouse can't turbo marine engines... supercharged or blown. these are supercharged

  • @TravisKilpatrick23 These are actually twin turbocharged 557 cubic inch Dual Overhead Cam engines with mark 8 drives. the engine and drive unit combos are $200k a piece. Each engine makes 1350hp with 6800rpm rev limits. Thse engines are all Mercruiser, they dont use Chevrolet big block engine blocks anymore, purely a Merc design.

  • @hoghogwild riddle me this then. i'm not starting shit on here, i'm just curious because i work on marine engines for a living... how can you turbocharge a marine engine. turbos run off of exhaust and there is water in the exhaust of these. how would that work??

  • @TravisKilpatrick23 You seriously work on marine engines for a living and aren't familiar with Merc Racing's turbo 1350's?

  • @cdnuge its a pretty new engine really. And im sure the majority of marine mechanics arent familiar with the Mercury Racing lineup

  • @cdnuge i don't get to see the high performance marine engines where i work here in Iowa.

  • @TravisKilpatrick23 No probs, I assume water would be introduced after the turbo. Those 1350hp 32 valve quad cam/turboed engines are actually 552 cubes(9 liters)not 557cid like I originally stated. The actual turbos are water cooled and the engine uses a closed cooling sytem. There is also a Merc Racing 1100. Its pretty much the same as the 1350, except it has its own ECM fuel/fpark calibration for 89 octane midgrade(1350 min. 91octane), has a single throttlebody with different air filter.

  • @hoghogwild thanks man. sounds like something i never want to work on. i'll stick with my basic small block and big blocks.. not the racing engines. biggest engines i've worked on were the merc 500's carbed.

  • @BigMammasHouse 1350... Cui???

  • @BigMammasHouse or Hp? :P

  • sweet ride...bolt on some wings and she will fly!!

  • sweet ride.....bolt on some wings and she will fly!!

  • it would be a whole lot nicer if it started the first time.

  • sexy dream, what is it like another 100k to get the third 1350 in it

  • @1moparkid12 Im thinkin the 1350's are 120 a piece.

  • @rd2fst more like 200k a piece

  • @rd2fst ....they are 200 apiece!

  • Comment removed

  • @1moparkid12 MSRP on 1350/ M8 drive is $202,000

  • NICE BOAT, i WISH i COULD HAVE SEEN IT IN PERSON
