hey i found a soulution to the charging mechanism. i discovered it while i was wrking on my cyma cm048 take off the charging lever and cut the spring off about 1/2 inches from the top (cut off a tiny bit of the spring on ethier side it also lets you pull it back further) or you can just chuck the spring.
@zombieruller congradulations you know nothing about guns and should probably stop playing call of duty, theres only one varient of the S.A.W that fires 7.62 and thats called a mk-46 go google it.......
@ZigZag1808 dude that was amonth ago.... i have been doing other things in my life then wondering what his comment has to do with it. i was pointing out his stupidity and its mainly the kids who play cod who mess up, thus i made a reference that he played cod. i honestly don't care to find out. now i'm going to work.
@Carplon yes you should the gun is great but if its for 50$ i would definetly try to invest in finding spare internals for it because the person may have faulted something if he/she was to sell it that low.
hey ZbrosCo its me again i was wondering how long the outer barrel was i would really appreacitate it if you reply thanks.hey can u also tell me if the gearbox is reinforced or not thanks man
thankyou ZbrosCo i really needed to know but i like this version the best because it has easy battery accesibility and it looks sexy and i was wondering if you could tell me were the battery goes in the para version because i might look into that thanx again
It weighs in at 12 to 15 pounds. I wouldn't recommend it for you, as it gets very heavy in the heat of combat! If you absolutely want a SAW, I'd defiantly go with the Para version for you.
@USSZim I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think it would work easily, because mounting a sling on this requires claps (the sling mounts are just round holes on the stock and the handgaurd) and a 3-point usually uses the sling swivels and a piece of webbing. You would have a hard time pulling the webbing through the holes for the mount, but you might be able to mod it a bit. Thanks for the comment, hope you can figure it out!
I was going to pay a lot pf money to shorten my outer barrel to the length of a Para, and this video showed that it is possible to remove it, and i even has a 14 mm CCW tread in there :D
@BLOODSHOT9902 I would recommend a good gas pistol (KWC is a fairly good brand). Or a small SMG like an MP-5. But since your already carrying alot weight with the SAW a gas pistol might be a smarter choice.
HI! i have a couple questions, and i hope you can answer for me. I'm sure you can, you seem like you know airsoft like its the palm of your hand :) k, so im wondering what silencer i should get for this beast weapon, and also what kind of spring to get for the gun to give it better shooting distance. and btw idc about rate of fire very much, it's just i dont want the motor to be too stressed. Thanks so much!
@rcowner153 With the suppressor (silencer) I can't help you to much because it's mainly the buyer choice and likings. But I have always liked the look of Bravo Ball Milled Suppressor. And with the spring I would suggest a 110 or 120 spring if you don't really care about ROF. But with the 120 spring you have to be careful if you go to professional airsofting matches, as they might have a limit to the fps on what the SAW can shoot. The gears should be fine. Hope that helped.
@erpuzzetta01 That would be something to ask someone else, because I haven't really had much experience with using other batteries. But I would try to see if a lithium battery would fit in the stock. They run about $70-150 so they're a bit pricey but worth it.
hey dude what kind of bbs do you recomend for this gun cuz I want it in the best conidition on the field. I dont want them curving around and not hitting my target.
@BLOODSHOT9902, Yeah .25's are pretty much the best universal bb's. Although you do loose some range, you gain accuracy and "penetration" (less likely to fly off course if it hits a bush).
hey does anyone here know anygood airsoft fields in southern mississippi around wiggins or anywhere on the coastal area??? cuz its just me and my friends playing and we really dont have a field, we just go in the woods and play in abandoned houses til one til we were playing in an abandoned house and they called the S.W.A.T. team on us...
Is everything on this metal like bushings, spring guide, polycarbonate piston, durable piston heads, reinforced steel gears?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I am getting one of these soon do you recomend I put in a 120 spring in it?
@BLOODSHOT9902, yes the internals are nearly all metal minus the boxmag's. I put a 110 spring in it and it seems to be doing well. Just remember that the higher/harder the spring the lower the rate of fire.
i am going to get this gun maybe but since the fps is not the best. all you have to do is buy a new one for 10 dollars that makes it more powerful. i think this will be a really good gun
@UHaveBeenGlazed It's a great gun, Pros: Shear firepower full metal range The accuracy is superb Easy to swap out the internals Cheaper than CA yet can defiantly match a CA M249 Cons: The box mag could use some reinforcing the FPS could be a bit higher, but that's easy to fix the bi-pod could as well use some reinforcing. Over all it's a beast. but you do have to take into account the weight and bulk.
Well, I have the m249 para version, and as always, I'm having lots of issues with this and many other rifles I've bought (and regret of) from echo 1. Do you have the same "trigger getting stuck" problem in this m249?
No I haven't and I've had more than 10,000 bb's through it. The only problem I've had is I blew a fuse once but it was a simple fix of just getting a new fuse. Check to make sure there's not a lot of green goop (Stock grease) in the trigger assembly. Mine was filled with it, it didn't really do anything to the workings but I felt better cleaning it out and reapplying my own grease.
No, actually there IS a problem with the m249, the switch contact is built 3mm longer than it should be but do some research and you'll see must of the m249 owners have this problem. You're one of the lucky who doesn't for some reason.
Personally I think they're a bit over priced. So i'd go with the Echo mainly because it's high quality, with good value and it's cheaper by $170 - 270. hope that helped, Zbrosco
NortonA, the Echo1 is definitely a match against the CA and in some ways better. I have used some CA m249 upgrades in my Echo and they have been worse than the stock parts. I believe the Echo1 is a very high quality and has a good value to it (you get a lot for what you pay for)(the CA doesn't come with a battery or a self winding boxmag). Some people stand by CA with they're life others not so much....
It would be easier just to get another feed tray because, you would have to drill out holes, find bolts that fit, and find a rail that's small enough to fit in between the front site post and the piece of metal. However, you might be able to take it to a gunsmith and see what he can do. do you think i can fit a 9.6 3600 mah battery in here? i have one for my M4 but im making it an RIS and theres no peq i like that holds one. i dont want to waste a beautiful battery so will it work in here?
Most people doubt that the 9.6 large type can fit in the M249's stock but, it seems to have plenty of room for one. I measured the inside to be around 2 - 2 1/2 in. height X 1 in. width X 8 - 10 in length (depending on wire bugle). But don't quote me on it lol. If it doesn't work you can always get an external battery pouch. I believe Eggyxcore made a video on how he made that work, or at least he told you lol.
this looks like a gun i could really enjoy, im not a big guy im like 5'6 and about 140 but i need a SAW cuz my dad and my uncle have been puttin the hurt on us lately. i tried souping up my KWA M4 but now i dont like it. so i tried rewiring the gearbox to run with a full stock. but i busted the AR latch and need to refurbish. i could always use a good simple gun.
i already have back pain, and my job includes hauling aroud 300 lbs so its no problem, but i like light. but it would be a fun mount on a truck or a grizzley
You know what's wierd about this review? Not only do I have that gun (duh) but I also have that Woodland MARPAT camo (I also have the desert) that the reviewer is wearing.
i heard that if you change the spring for a gun to make it more powerful, you have to buy other better internal parts so the gun doesnt ware and break. if its true, what parts do i have to buy? i might get this gun. please help me.
That is true for some lower end guns or guns with crappy internals. However, this one you don't need to because it has reinforced metal gears... Now, if for some crazy reason you wanted this to shoot over 450 fps you might want to consider buying new gears and a new cylinder set also you should make sure that your motor can handle the extra oomph.
It was very easy to get the flash hider off. it just involved unscrewing the retainer screw (other wise you would destroy your threads) and twisting the flash hider off clock-wise. :)
People, take into consideration your age. It is approx 15lbs. Do not buy this gun because of what you saw in a video game or that you will be "LEET". iT does get tiring carrying this around so bu ya sling. I myself am 6' 3" and am able to use it with ease, just thin kbefore you buy.
Indeed that very true, people under estimate how heavy 15-17 pounds can get even just parading around. And no matter how fit or how fit you think you are it WILL wear you down after a certain amount of time.
Should have gotten the A&K. Echo 1's M249 is an A&K with Echo 1 brands... You pretty much just bought an overpriced A&K

It would be easier just to get another feed tray because, you would have to drill out holes, find bolts that fit, and find a rail that's small enough to fit in between the front site post and the piece of metal.
