I was shooting my fathers .454 Alaskan Redhawk snubbie with full power loads at age 14, and my brother could first comfortably fire a 9mm at age 20. All kids are different around firearms, and when properly trained, can be just as safe as a full grown adult. Hell, Tory Nonaka has been shooting with Team Glock since age 14.

@deepwater1974 Actually it is called a Negligent Discharge. Accidental discharges occur when the weapon malfunctions. You were correct about the misfire though. And also she did have her finger in the trigger guard for about a second after it happened.

BUT it is obvious she maintained the presence of mind to keep the firearm pointed down range the whole time. She also did remove her finger, if you noticed, nearly immediately. This is very good! If everyone used the USMC 4 rules for gun safety than no one would be in this video.
1 gun on safe until ready to shoot
2. finger off trigger until ready to shoot
3. always treat gun as if loaded
4. Don’t point gun at things you don’t intend to shoot.....it just might happen!

@rafael9033 First off all its not called miss fire its called accidental discharge. Miss fire is where you squeeze the trigger and the round doesn't go off. Second she had the weapon pointed down range in a safe direction the whole time .My safety is in my finger How much shooting experience do you have?

@deepwater1974 Actually it is called a Negligent Discharge. Accidental discharges occur when the weapon malfunctions. You were correct about the misfire though. And also she did have her finger in the trigger guard for about a second after it happened.

@rafael9033 Of course, you shouldn't have your finger on the trigger until you are ready to fire. She was firing. BUT it is obvious she maintained the presence of mind to keep the firearm pointed down range the whole time. She also did remove her finger, if you noticed, nearly immediately. Besides the wardrobe glitch, she is almost a paragon of firearm safety in this video.

I enjoyed this video a lot seeing all these idiots operating machinery not suitable for them. :) This is why getting a gun in the US of A should be much harder than it is. When I was taking my CPL class some lady kept pushing the bullets into the magazine backwards and yet she got her CPL certificate. Definitely not acceptable.

just a point in fact, a few of those were not firearm negligence. 1.53 was a handgun that was a created more like a proof of concept instead of functional, if i remember correctly, it was .600 nitro express. and 2.03 is the t-rex, that gun was specifically designed without proper recoil reduction to send shooters flying, and again, not a functional normal use firearm.

All of the video was right on the money except for that last one. She was smart and safe... She didnt freak like the girl in the whit dress she stepped back, finger off trigger and put the gun down while always maintaining safe muzzle direction... proper attire means shit when you're in your underwear in bed and an attacker comes in... What are you going to do, put on "proper"attire before protecting yourself? Target shooting, ok I see your point, but unsafe no. Just shit happens with hot brass.
