@ZlobnyYa The did half of the job. Germany had a very vast and organized army but they were having a lot of battles in different places at the same time against good opponents. Imagine that almost all globe was fighting Germany and yet it took them 6 years until they defeated them. I am neither a Russian nor a German but some stuff are just facts. Neither Russia nor the West side of Allied forces could do it alone.

@mihaeltomasovic They had good doctrines, especially for the groundwar and also for submarinewarfare. But on the whole they weren´t really ready for the strains of WW2. Nice stuff, but too little of it. Too many rivalries between different Staff and Arms in the top. They couldnt finish of any real opponents in any of their campaigns and so dragged themselves down to the bitter end of loosing.

@Blade171917 I think Nazi Germany was the most powerful in the WW2 era. There was a 'chance i n hell' that the Germans and Japs could have defeated the allied forces.
At one point of time, the Germans were so close to Moscow they could see it, but Hitler told them to fall back, and help with the capture of Stalingrad. With this taking longer than anticipated, the Russian winter stopped the Nazi's dead in the tracks.
And i would support neither Nazi germany or Communist russia.

The only countries in Europe the Nazis don't manage to defeat are the British and Soviet Union - the reason that the Germans lost the war was lack of supply - Russian partisans wrecked train lines, bridges and communications. The same also for British commandos.
The British (later joined by Americans) bombed cities and factories. The British also bombed the two dams in order to flood factories in the Rhine areas.

@DavBlc7 Germany planned to invade Britain also, but they needed the resources such as iron to make war ships to lock down the English channel. These resources were in the Soviet Union, and that is why they attacked the Soviets first.

In WW2, it wasn't all forces were equal.2 factors why the Germans had such high kill rates with their airforce. Was because several airforces they fought against had poor airfocres.
