I have recently put it upon myself too view several of these "Tributes to the God Emperor" and what i saw was astonishing... I saw people constantly repeating Warhammer lore and proclaiming themselves 100% for the Imperium when truthfully the whole imperium is a paradox... As for his age... well he also has the memories of the sages that died to 'reincarnate' as him, so even older than his birth date would indicate, I suppose.

Fluff wise, the Chaos Gods feared the Emperor (Which is official, its in the actual novels of the horus heresy too) because he could actually destroy them. And he almost did when he was mortally wounded by Horus - but they fled Horus's body in fear for their lives, because they saw the power that was coming from the Emperor just before he obliterated Horus, both physically and soul-wise.

Horus if victorious would have eventually turned on chaos therefore turning it back on itself and in the process broth balance but humanity would be lost. If the Emperor "won" he would be mortally wounded and humanity would stagnates until chaos slowly won and also created a new chaos god in a way akin to Slannesh when most of humanity would be lost and only a few survivors drifting.
