Great review, St. Bernardus ABT. 12 is one of my favorites. I work at a beverage center that has 175 Belgian beers available at all times. I can get this in 750 ml cork top bottles that are great for "vertical" storage. Let me know if you want to make a trade? Also while talking about quads, have you ever had the chance to try "Ommegang Three Philosophers" ?
@KodiaKSE This is probably a tie for my all time favourite quad. I also love the Achel Extra Bruin. I wish I was able to get a 750ml bottle. I'm heading to Buffalo this weekend and hoping to find a bottle or have the Three Philosophers at a pub. Great review! I missed my opportunity to try this beer in Montreal; it had been offered by the local SAQs (the Quebec equivalent of the LCBO, kinda) but for a very limited time. I suppose I was a bit too late to rush to the stores and buy it. I'll be in Toronto next month, so maybe I'll finally get to try this interesting beer! Cheers!
@DenisLD - Yea this was a very limited time as well, only three stores received limited quantities of it. I spoke with Marco Passarella from the brewey and he said that they're in neogiotion with the different boards in Canada and hoping to get the rest of there products imported regularly. If you want his email send me an inbox message maybe enough of us pressure him into it. He'll send some individual packages lol. Cheers!!
an easier way to save the cap is to use a bic lighter or a wooden spoon to wedge it off.
I thought this beer was okay. I have two 750ml bottles of it in the basement I'm going to age for a few years.
It's unfair to compare this to Westy 12 because this is probably a fresh bottle and the Westy 12 will over 2 years old by the time you drink it. The only way to compare them is to drink two bottle of the same age.
@ChadzBeerReviews - Never been a fan of using the lighter I have an opener that's great at opening cabs just been missing lately. I've got two bottles aging an another that I'm going to have after or before the Wesy 12. Cheers.
@fcuk90001 - That's awesome, I'd love to try there other beers. I'm not sure how Alberta regulates there products but in Ontario we have a "liquor control board" LCBO and they limited the amount of imported products they carry. I was on there website and did a product search to see if I could grab anymore of their lineup and the Abt. 12 was only sent to three stores in Ont.. But good news was they sold quick so hopefully I'll see the rest of their beers around soon. Cheers!

I'm glad I'm getting the chance to have the Westy 12, never thought I'd get the oppurtunity unless traveling to Belgium, which I plan to do when I'm older.
