  • I was laughing until you said "ow"... Especially after seeing your broken leg video. *cringe*

  • I really hate saying this under these circumstances but he is REALLY lucky he did not impale himself on those posts...

  • LMAO that's some funny shit.

  • I'm re-watching all of his videos, and so far this is one of my favorites. Although I don't like to see him in danger, I can tell he's mainly being funny and silly. I love "Curses!", the sigh at 0:58, and his laughter after 1:50 .

    (cont'd below)

  • (cont'd) I'm sad that so many commenters didn't seem to "get" this video - I completely understand why he would take such a strenuous journey on such a wintry day. There was beauty and adventure out there to be experienced first hand, two of the things he appreciated most. I am missing this guy so incredibly much already. RIP Svengalie

  • Ride in heaven

  • "Latest Activity:2 weeks ago"... Bye sven :(

  • R.I.P

  • stud those tires man

  • I just took out my drz400 in the snow and ice, i now i know exactly how it feels :)

  • Guys check my new video : Snow enduro motoclub ...

  • It is your first ride on snow ? ... you have to work with legs more when it take you to side ... BTW not bad

  • ive always wanted try a and ride a dirt bike in snow just for the heck of it seems like it would be fun in a weird way

  • Your commentary is brilliant!

One day I'll see some chap on a bike doing silly things, and say "that must be svengalie".

  • @qwertylockley :( In the context of his passing away your comment almost made me cry.

  • @McTatarka

    Wait wait wait wait, what?!!

  • @McTatarka

I am horrified. I am crying writing this. He inspired me

  • Why are you riding that dirtbike when its snow? You know your gonna fall, dont got a car?

  • @Enithrell of course I have a car, I also have no reason to be outdoors....I'm not travelling anywhere specific....It's called fun, falling or not.

  • this man needs a sled...

  • CURSES!

  • Like a boss. I've ridden my Ninja in a very very light snow and it was terrifying haha.

  • Aim for the soft stuff!

  • that looks fun.......

  • This video is exactly the reason why you need to screw 800 sheet metal screws into your tires, it really helps with the NOT falling part. Hell in the worst conditions, ie. sheet ice, you've got the best traction on the road :)

  • @paganwitchdoctor You clearly havn't Riden on snow before then, its a deathtrap :)

  • I think you need 4 tires mate.

  • Top guy. This is why I want a dirt bike. I got a zx10 road bike and blade track bike but want a silly conditions bike. You look like you need someone to go out and play with.

  • what about going faster ;-)

  • Haha gotta say thats funny :D

  • Hi! Halfthrottle pointed me to your channel. I love this video, I understand now how stupid riding in winter is and I am sooo going to do it. I have a similiar route to work, this acually may make going to work fun! Thanks mate.

  • I wanna bike like that where i know if i drop it it dont really matter, i would have so much fun going out in the snow but i got a street triple r and dont want to break it lol

  • thats not riding, thats falling with style ^^

  • i really dont know what is goint thrugh your head u need therapy

  • lol CURSES!!!

  • i usually dont laugh at stuff like this but when you said "haha that kid's saluting me.... Woah!!" I laughed my ass off xD glad you didnt die

  • 0:40 ur laughin

  • ive driven bikes in the snow. so much fun. i had a honda 250 you gotta keep really low gears and slow turns never touch brakes...

    LOADS OF FUN!!

  • adult driven. taken care of. never dropped.

  • i mean no disrespect but isn't it a futile endevour to try riding a motorbike on ice/snow or do you do it for a laugh?

  • @burnzy3210 see me laughing?

  • @svengalie its a figure of speech, i used to ride my push bike on ice/snow for a laugh but it was dangerous as hell when you realize that cars and buses still decide to get close cyclists lol

  • @svengalie lmao ya

  • @svengalie i didnt see you... i just heard you... 1:36

  • @svengalie Hehehe, you laughed at 0:38 :D

  • 1:02 hahaha the kids saluting me. 1:08 fucking kid

  • lol 2:11 "Virgan Snow..>:)"

  • CURSES, you sir, made me lol and im a new biker, my rear tye has lost its tread and my rear suspension and brake are fucked, winters gonna be fun.

  • I let out alot of air in the tires till they look almost flat,it works great-its my trick and when you try it ,it will be your new trick to

  • Hey brotha, Im 20 years old. Been through a bit in my life. But i tend to get pretty angry, especially when im by myself and bad stuff happens to me. And seeing you handle this with that laugh made me smile. Hopefully made me a little more sensible and cheerful when bad stuff happens next. And for all those people who are saying. Why dont you stop? I think its just a eye opener, as never seen anything like that ice before. Its really a force of nature. Keep truckin, I think your channel is chil

  • Why do you do this to yourself? :-)

You love riding, and I think thats great, but i really really whould not ride at those weather conditions and lie in the dirt every 5 minutes. :-)

    Thumbs up!

  • Love your laughter :D!

  • ahahahhahahahhahahahahhaaha :D

  • I tryed to ride in winter and I can say that it isn't funny. Zero control. But I think with spiked tyres it would be rather well :)

  • Comment removed

  • who in their right frame of mind would go out on a motor bike in the snow and ice? only a profesional would! and this man clearly is not a pro!

  • You just love to roll arround on the ground, don't you ;)

    Cool uploads, be carefull.

  • Be glad you dont have the X...and norwegian winter :P Impossible I tell you

  • спасибо, посмеялся))

  • omg.. you cant fuckin drive grandpa

  • you should try the ktm on a hard snowmobile track! FUN!!

  • No shame in women's tights, Sven, I wear them in winter. It beats wind chill :)

  • CURSES !!!! LOL.....

  • @joham22 man i was gonna say that lol

  • @watchdancingfrogs Keep up the good work!

  • 0:42 no no ok that is it I'm fucked....aim for the soft stuff xD hahahahahaha man you are the king

  • not really???!! :-D

  • prostě kokot.-))))

  • @DTS231 "just cock"

  • Atleast I can still watch Sven's videos since M13 randomly blocked me from his channel -.-

  • Bufalooooooo

  • haha, you fell a couple times in the video eh :P

  • glad its snow :P

  • Mwaha you released the clutch :)

  • 5*****

  • Haha where about is this?

  • time for a quad i think

  • Superb.

  • Keep pressing 6 =]

  • I had this problem during the winter in UK, the best tip i can give is keep both feet firmly on the ground and keep speed to a minimal. Soft snow is a warm welcome to compacted snow turned sheet ice. when you feel losing control dont pull the brakes try roll it out and push feet into the floor :D

  • man i know how easy its is to drop a bike ride full time but it doesnt look like your even making an effort to stop falling off

  • @monkey1506 then clearly you don't know. :-)

  • @monkey1506 i think youre absolutely right!!

  • i feel bad for you and your bike. must be impossible to drive there without falling

  • thanks ! I enjoyed the show

  • what lights do you run on your helmet?

  • @0:38 i keep pissing myself laughing!!! how many clutch/break leavers you gone through on your bikes?

  • Comment removed

  • Slide show.... :)

  • the difference bettween the KTM and the Yamaha is astounding !!

  • You are a Legend!!

    1. Riding in Deep Snow

2.Using the "Virgin Snow" Term :)!

3.Just laughing when you fall :D

    So much respect for you!

  • H-E-R-O

  • i realy gotta try this!!!

  • Not using spiked tyres?

  • @NorcanDiaboli do you really need an answer to this ;-)

  • @NorcanDiaboli Spiked tyres are for ice, aren't them? And useless on snow. In this case high center of mass wasn't best choice for winter.

  • @Oper969 There's a reason why we use spiked tyres on cars in winter in norway. That + softer rubber = winter tyres that grip better both on snow and ice. But yeah, riding a motorcycle in winter is challenging to say the least :p

  • I learned to ride in the snow with a 1967 Yamaha Twin 100, i fell a lot also, but it was fun!

  • Even though you fall quite a lot, you seem like you have fun laughing and all (:

Keep up the good riding mate.

  • that is why you put studs in your tires

  • If that was me after the first fall ,I'll be putting my feet up by the fire hehe

    Nice video ty

  • what camera are you using?'

  • @mardukl pov 1.5

  • @svengalie nice thanks its allright quality

i had a motocom dsr before... before i broke the lcd screen ! :P

i might get 1 of these cheers

  • @mardukl I actually rate it better than the later "HD" model. It really is the best camera on the market imho. Although it's obviously not HD.

  • @svengalie yeah its awesome not expensive as well :)

350 $ i paid mine 350 as well and it was junk :P

hows the mounting on that 1 ?

  • @Lodine66

    :D

  • it would be better if there are another bikers sharing you this trip >

    nice video :D

  • Lol, you made me go out riding again . Well, You and the nice weather in Canada!

  • cmon baby

  • Hate to see you fall mate, but that's the risk riding on snow and ice..

  • You now have experience in falling ! haha

  • learn by doing..

  • Man I'm gonna have to film some motocross snow track suff to teach you how this works...

  • Great video!

  • fantastic very nice video coooollllllll visit my page ciao

  • ooooh, going down in front of the kids that thought you where cool, embarrassing much? lol

  • why are you crashing? theres no reason to crash doing 2 mph?

  • @IcedGemsz ice. Probably the same reason people fall over when standing still on it?

  • you remind me of derek fisher, but like the motovlogger version....seems like your taking "flops" on purpose lol

  • @svengalie haaha dont listen to those idiots they clearly dont ride, i love how you arent ashamed of falling off its good stuff thanks for the videos!, makes me want to ride in the snow lol!

  • winter sucks.

you should throw mordeths wife out of his house and move together. he dislikes her anyway.

  • this is great sven your ace :)

  • One things for sure. You don't give up!

  • you must be very very idiot....

  • haha dude i know how ya feel i did the same thing it sucksss

  • That Bike doesn't know how to ride you! Uhhh...yeah...

  • Maybe it's a good idea for you not to ride when it's winter?

  • molto simpatico bravo..

  • haha that looks like fun man i wish i could go do that.

have you tried screwing small screws into the knobbies on your tires? i did that on one of my old dirtbikes

  • bravery or stupidity? fine line. fun to watch tho :)

  • i think u are laying it down on purpose

  • I'd recommend studded tires...that would be a really cool review for you to do! I live in Alaska. I've no idea how much they cost but i think they are made.

  • Looks like you had fun, most people wouldn't have the balls to ride in the snow like that. I had a "87" CR125 that I would take out in the snow got real cold but had a ton of fun doing it. I didn't always laugh when I fell but hey..

  • :D that looks like a right laugh! provided you didin't hurt yourself!!

  • We used to ride our bikes after dark when it snowed so bad there was no traffic. What I never fabricated properly was mounts to hold skis on either side the rear wheel because it needed to adjust, because I either had too much floatation and no traction, or traction but skis so high I still tipped over. A ski on front gave little advantage when trying to run on snowy streets because a dry patch would throw you. Modern snowmobile skis might work better?

  • And the morel of the stroy is, don't ride your bike in the snow!

  • @calineophyte I mean no offence but don't you mean the use of my equipment? Understand this one video totals probably 14 days of riding (notice I change bike and clothes throughout the vid?) Anyone riding on ice without spikes is going to stack it, at those low speeds there's little or no danger of damage to me or the bike. I've bent the odd lever or two. The point is I'm having fun, any damage is the unfortunate but worthy price of that fun.

I've never claimed to be the best rider, I try.

  • @svengalie Fair enough. It's just that there may be unseen pointy and or unyielding things under that snow. It may not be as soft and cushy as it appears. Have fun.

  • @svengalie Why don't you get snow tyres and offset the cost against the money you will be saving from not having to buy new levers all the times. To be honest to me it doesn't look like you are having "fun".

  • if only you had two more wheels on the other side to stabilize the motorcycle

  • This is hysterical! I love the helmet cam & "Aim for the soft stuff!'"

  • who the hell snowmobiles on a dirt bike?

  • Comment removed

  • i think you need a truck man..

  • Please stop putting your hands out to break your fall! it will break your arm or hand. Just keep your arms tight across your body and let your torso take one for the team :)

  • If at first you don't succeed try try again! :D Until you break an arm then just stop..

  • you have alot of crash videos

  • You are brave. You know a lot about riding in the snow now.

  • I had dt 125r it is very good bike. However 2 years ago i was riding it in forest (in winter) and i slightly touched back breake.I crashed very hard dt lend on me and it was very painfull. I was liing there fol like 1 min. Then i get up sit on it bike but in another 20m i crashed again on my hip (on the same side). So from then on i dont ride bike on snow. However i sold that bike 1 year ago to 16 yo boy and after 3 months he send me message thet he crashed with it into a car he is disabled now

  • @Demex94 I hope one day I'm as perfect as you. (Sorry bad riding).

  • @svengalie Better wheels may be the difference ...

  • ahaha good one, made ma laugh.

    Got some balls...

  • @svengalie does he have proof of his non crashing in snow?

  • @galbmw I have hours and hours and hours of footage of 'perfect' riding (well, perhaps not perfect but certainly not lobbing it every 5 seconds) but who wants to see that?

  • @svengalie i meant Demex. i was asking if he has the footage. but i agree who wants to see boring footage of riding. your stuff is A LOT more fun with all the falls. and going through some places no living being has been with your friends. i find that quite amazing.

  • @svengalie I think galbmw meant Demex94's non crashing in snow... Nice video though

  • MAYBE buy a snowmobile? But then when i think about it...it wouldnt be as fun :D

  • that's funny. i used to drive a motorbike a bit, and sometimes in snow and ice. that was back when i lived near detroit, in the u.s.a., near the great lakes, near the border with the british territory of ontario ( the territory that has toronto in it ).

  • @coventrygardens If you haven't been keeping up with the news....Ontario is now no longer considered to be British territory. They've even come up with a whole new country...it's called CANADA! Maybe you've heard of it?

  • @yvwic50 i guess i was just being humorous, in a historically accurate sense.. anyway, ontario and a bunch of other canadian provinces still have the union jack in their flags, and the british monarch is on their money, and they have the governor general that the british monarch appoints. when i was a kid, i thought of canada as a country in its own right, but i changed my mind once i heard that its monarch is the british monarch.

  • @coventrygardens OK, maybe your humor is just a tad dry for me. But, it is quite a bit different to be a member of the Commonwealth than to be considered a British territory. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed your time around the Lakes; that is one of my favorite areas in all of North America, and it is on my "bucket list" to ride that area someday. But I'll stick to dry roads!

  • @yvwic50 i think maybe you were thinking that i'm british. actually my family left england and scotland in 1600s and 1700s, and we've lived in the u.s.a. ever since. i was raised around detroit, and now live in key largo. on the highway going through key largo, we often see motorbikers coming through. some of my mum's relatives are really into it. ( i chose the name "coventrygardens" because i used to live in a neighborhood called coventry gardens, which was near detroit. )

  • Love it, funniest thing ive seen in ages!

  • CURSES!!!!!!!
