  • these are people who just started building houses in an undeveloped area. Anyone who does this should have half the brain to realize that they might get demolished...

The moral of the story is you can't just go around building a house to call your own when someone owns that land

  • Spain is fucking dirty and backward country of western Europe. Spanish people are retards

  • Most of those folks in the video looked like Arabs. I think this was more an issue with immigrants, because gypsies live in slums that look much worse than the slums shown in this video and they are left alone (well neglected).

  • Hum... Just the borbon prince's new grand palace estate (paid with ALL spaniards money)can easily house all this spanish citizens

  • Spanish citizens? you have no idea, you better shut up.

  • @USAeabusa2 these are not Spanish, can't u see they're freaking Moroccans. they can go back to their country

  • Somewhere quite to live? Buy an appartment like anybody else.

  • I don't know in your country, but slums are not tolerated in Spain.

  • LOL? M8 there are slums everywhere in the world, get used to it.

No one can say that his country is immune, because it isn't. Illegal immigration, poverty, financial crisis, which lead to unemployment and so on, are all factors that contribute to the creation of slums.

    Regards.

  • I agree that we don't here the gov't's side to this action, but I would like to point out that this appears to be the best built slum that I have ever seen. These are certainly not favelas.

  • Don't you think that some of these families work? Why knock down their houses? Why don't you just put them in prison or shoot them? The working poor has no place, not even in USA

  • What good is the government if they just say one day, "okay let's knock those houses down, they are slums." What happens to all the people who live there. Alot of them have jobs and are the working poor. So the government takes thier houses, then what? Why don't you just shoot them all. Stupid government

  • Why do we need to hear a government spokesman? We all understand that this video represents the point of view of those whose houses are under threat and not those who have ordered the demolition. What is a valid reason to make someone homeless? Can it ever be right to do it

violently and without regard for the welfare of the inhabitants, many of them children? The woman in the video asked for discussions and a negotiated solution to the problem and I think she's right.

  • What if they don't own the houses? They could be abandoned houses that they don't own, they just live in.

Maybe someone owns the land and is planning on building something there, so the houses have to go.

It could be anything. You need both sides of the story.

  • I agree this seems wrong, but can we hear a government spokesman? Otherwise this means nothing.

For all we know these can be a bunch of illegal immigrants who don't pay taxes and don't own the houses, maybe its just a slum that they moved into.

Again I'm not saying that is the case, but you need both points of view.

  • This video give no reason for the destruction. Does not tell us why this is happening. Therefore it is of little value except to point out one more alleged injustice.

  • Once again goes back to the goverment
