good thing about Getaway is its from Sony so they can do 1080p if they wanted. They also have license to real cars and their own products so they could use these in the game.
The game looks fantastic, i'm not knocking the game it's just with the amount of effort put into the city itself, they could put a hell of alot more effort into the vehicle models & physics.Mafia 2 is an example.Also would be real, if the character had gun shot wounds & bleeds then goes to hospital.What about real time physics for vehicles, people & weather effects.Also i reckon the textures need replenishing for things like walls, paving, grains of wood, old metal & fibres not blurred etc.
Would also be great if real time sfx is part of this game too.Then it's more that just a living, breathing city.Apparently Birmgham is another city LS modelled for The Getaway 3.I wounder how many other cities, they could recreate.

Yeah im serious at that time when Sony announced back in 2008 that the Getaway 3 was still in development PS3 wasn't doing that well in sales plus Sony needed money to focus on Killzone 2 now that game is out of the way along with Eyepet London Studios are going to start working on it and due to the fact the PS3 slim is doing so well it looks like Sony have got the cash to do this game.

Recently I read up on a interview posted on the 30th Sptember 2009, the interview was with some guy who works at London Studios and he clearly confirmed that the Getaway 3 & 8 Days have not been cancelled but have been put on hold so that doesn't mean they were delayed either. After the release of EyePet you can bet ya tha you'll be hearing more about these 2 major games soon.
I have heard that this project will be continued at 2010 or at 2011 :/ I hope it is true.... i dont want the series The Getaway to end due a fucking mistake...

I mean, da improved reflection feature e.g u walk ur character over a reflecting object(mirror, puddle)and u can see them in a reflection, because dis feature had been here since da beginning. And all da GTA games reminds me if an explosion feature could be added. But i'll find it out.
I hope the reflection feature is added otherwise it could be a waste of time because timing and resources has 2 be extensive 2 look like real life figures.
THE BUILDINGS are all 2-D, cant even enter them, they are hollow......catnjack cars, this game focus all the power on graphics but none on gameplay, unlike the mighty gta4

In all fairness neither one is better than the other. The last Getaway was a pile of shit. Above all, eventhough I really enjoyed the 1st Getaway, i can see why it would alienate some. Most people probably think London is a country, there are no black people, we all drink tea, live in castles and dont know whether in England we speak english.
Graphics is not the issue on playstation 3. what u need to ask is where Getaway "can" strive for realism, could GTA be the same without its comic visuals

Someone was gettin all patriotic as usual and saying that GTA is better than Getaway because Americans focus on physics and graphics. But I'd just like to clear things up.

i've always thoguht that getaway was the closest thing to gta, but i think, even if it has better graphics, gta will still be btter.

its fake, pre rendered. i looked it up and they confirmed its pre rendered. who cares nayway??? getaways games suck ass... plus i thought GTA was british any way seeing as Rockstar north is based in scotland...

I mean, da improved reflection feature e.g u walk ur character over a reflecting object(mirror, puddle)and u can see them in a reflection, because dis feature had been here since da beginning. And all da GTA games reminds me if an explosion feature could be added. But i'll find it out.

THE BUILDINGS are all 2-D, cant even enter them, they are hollow......catnjack cars, this game focus all the power on graphics but none on gameplay, unlike the mighty gta4
