So, if there is a point where you agree with a guy like Norquist (who is a nut, but a respected one) on a specific issue, using his influence to sway a few votes isn't bad. More importantly, it sends a message "if you have a point that's not crap, we'll hear you."
But Emmanuel isn't gonna target Norquist. He's a power broker, and an influence wielder like Norquist isn't gonna catch anything from him unless he seriously crosses him or gets in the way of his power politics. Which is what makes Rahm so dangerous.
They are both bad, but Emmanuel has more direct power at the moment. So he's the bigger problem for us, because he's corrupting progressive policy making (although probably no more so than Obama himself).
Personally, I'm judging this issue on it's own merits. It simply makes sense to re-open the investigation in question. If Norquist agrees or doesn't, isn't really important to me in the final analysis.

They suck, and it would undoubtedly be nice if they were gone. But that's more easily said than done. But at the same time, they can be very anti-establishment, and the establishment is what liberals are struggling with at the moment. So, if there is a point where you agree with a guy like Norquist (who is a nut, but a respected one) on a specific issue, using his influence to sway a few votes isn't bad. More importantly, it sends a message "if you have a point that's not crap, we'll hear you."

They are both bad, but Emmanuel has more direct power at the moment. So he's the bigger problem for us, because he's corrupting progressive policy making (although probably no more so than Obama himself).
Personally, I'm judging this issue on it's own merits. It simply makes sense to re-open the investigation in question. If Norquist agrees or doesn't, isn't really important to me in the final analysis.

Nah there are a couple of people on the right that are correct on a few issues. Ron Paul may be bat-shit crazy on a couple of issues, but why not work with him on issues you agree on?
That's why you should have loads of different voices. There's always some issue where people can agree, and if working together on that issue helps beat the corporatists, then why not go for it?

Wait a minute... IMHO this is a pretty big deal, but where's the coverage? I like to get news from as many sources as possible so I can form an intelligent opinion. The only people I could find giving it any attention are TYT, a handful of bloggers and Fox.
The Administration needs to address this and the left wing media needs to do some kind of reporting on it.
