every right, according to legal precedent and google lawyers know this, thats why they wont fight it. they are trying to show a disportionate amount of views come from pirated videos. they cant show this without the information. they need location to show the international scope of the problem. there is precedent. its how napster lost and how enron got caught fucking their shareholders. are you suggesting government cant regualte and investigate how companies do business? thats silly.

I am not suggesting anything. First one must understand the argument before one can make a fair assessment. Surely you agree? Assuming you do...I am curious as to the nature that NON-infringing video's play, other than a simple # as a point to compare against pirated material. It seems overkill to me to waste the time on legitimate material, when its the pirated content in question. Thats what I am interested in.

its about original hits. its about showing the same ips keep uplaoding pirated videos and youtube doesnt stop them from making new accounts. its about showing the geographical far reaching implications of the copyright violations. its about a lot of things. are you implying google would be honest about it if they filtered these things out?
