@impisnothings I agreed! Both has strengths and weaknesses. Comparing them is unfair! It's just like u take Jay's strength and compare with Lee Hom's weakness and vice versa. Please....I'm Jay chou super fan but Lee Hom's songs are nice too. Wei Yi, Xin diao, Ni bu zhi dao de shi...all were nice and thats Lee Hom. Please music fans...

To be frank both of them are very talented artists and nobody can argue about this. At the same time,I feel proud as Jay Chou fan as his 1st Hollywood film-The Green Hornet was show all over the world at Asia region,America (North & South America),Africa,Europe & Oceania Pacific which the audiences can listen to his song 'Nun-chuks' at the end of the movie. Go Jay!

why is everyone saying lee hom can speak english so he's a better person?
lee hom was from canada! of course he speaks english and he's chinese !of course he learns chinese too! jay chou never spoke english in his whole life,is already an actor in hollywood and can already speak english quite fluently in one month.

@michaelsiaw leehom is chinese//taiwanese(barring political crap)...you make it sound like he couldn't speak it at all before. you can't make such a comparison since leehom spoke taiwanese mandarin growing up. as his career took off--he just improved it.

I wonder why people like LeeHom so much..He is not interested to watch AT ALL!Unlike Jay,except for his nice songs,he has the humour,and what people say about how "cocky" he is,that is just his style,and we LOVE it!!And I'd rather watch Show Luo than LeeHom..He is fun to watch..LeeHom?Producing some same kind of songs each year,and acting cool all the way..BORING~~~

if leehom is not interesting, then it's your opinion and nobody is going to argue with that...but if you say leehom produces same kind of songs each year, you might have not done your research...at least leehom's songs genres/styles vary from ballad, hiphop, RnB, rock, acoustic, dancepop, broadway, country, and even jazz. let's argue with fact, not simply biased opinion. and no way i'm going to say that leehom is better than jay, i'm just stating facts about leehom.

Lee Hom is a HACK! He forces together some Chinese instruments with western sugar coated pop in an awkward way. Jay Chous music has both musical styles blended more seamlessly.
About the looks of the two Jay is cooler looking and Lee Hom is handsomer in a pretty boy way. Back in HS Lee Hom looks like he was either a male cheerleeder or champion of the glee club.

@bab4 it's chinked-out!! it's cool....He incorporated these sounds into R&B and hip hop music, coining the style as "chinked-out." Despite the derogatory nature of the term "chink," He had repossessed the term and "make it cool'. jay is a like a three year old boy learning to pronounce a word properly==

@adamchua199576 Just throwing in Chinese traditional instruments to replace western ones in western sounding compositions then calling it Chinked out is lazy music making and offensive all at the same time. Bet you if Lee Hom tries to break into the Western music world he couldn't. That's cuz his stuff is plain generic western pop. Once again I'll say he's a HACK. Jay understands real Chinese musicality and feel Jays' infinitely and genuinely cooler. Lee Hom's a preppy boy poseur.

@adamchua199576 Well I think almost ALL Lee Hom's album sucks! and I don't think throwing in Lazy "chinked out" music making is going to do anything for traditional instruments. In Mainland China all those traditional instruments are still being played anyway so don't you worry about them dying out. No matter what you say Lee Hom will always be a C class artist to me. And a ghey looking one at that. He belongs in a sweater vest singing soap opera commercials instead of trying to be cool. =P

Yep, that's obviously why he's like the biggest and most popular popstar in Asia, making big ass hits every year, which top the charts every time he releases a single.
