Yeah when lord baden-powl (i think i spelt that wrong) created boy scouts, Girls wanted to do it too so lord baden-powl ansked his wife Lady Baden-powl to run Girl guids. and thats when that started ( I havnt studied the history of Girl scouts So i dont know when thay started)
@Feiredencer they are pretty much the same. when scouts where only for boys a group of girls wanted 2 join so BP created girl guiding and now there are girl scouts aswell (ps no boy guides)
