All 4 of the contestants that went home tonight should have replaced 4 of the horrible contestants in the overall horrible top 12.
I would have replaced Todrick with Tim. Other than that I was kind of ok with the top 12. Half the ppl I never cared about in the first place. I like more of the guys than girls. I'm annoyed that they keep talking about Andrew & how he was amazing once. I really liked Matt G & Scotts performance.

It is definitely suck over talent at the moment on the show, I was DISGUSTED by the results last night, I think I ranted about it in forums and on blogs and entertainment websites for 3+ hours. I have no idea how anyone would vote more for them, out of the thousands of comments I've read, I honestly did not see ANY support for any of them.

Yep, the producers definitely went for a shocker-I didn't agree with ANY of those eliminations. I wasn't crazy about Todrick, but he sounded even better on his sing out and deserved to take on the Stones. Alex had 2 great weeks I thought, he just needed more stage presence. But I was SHOCKED when Katelyn AND Lilly went home! They were so interesting! Paige, Katie, and Lacey-the 3 weakest girls, got in! It boggles the mind.....

you have to realize - the majority of the people voting are not musically inclined. they are looking at things besides musicality. I think that makes a huge difference in the voting!
I didn't think Katelyn or Toddrick should go home. Alex Lambert, was that just the most sorrowful young man you ever did see! He has got to live and perform in a way he will be able to avoid regret. But he's talented. Lilly, I never enjoyed hearing or watching her, and I thought I Fall To Pieces was performed very strangely. It was hard to listen. I do know she wanted it very badly, though. I think what happened is those who gave BAD performances received more votes than those who performed okay. Like fans felt they had to vote for to "save" those who weren't as good. And people may have assumed Alex and Lilly were safe.

I wish they had put Didi Benami up against someone for elimination so she could have fake cried for us. Too bad. Katelyn's performance was more boring than Tuesday.

I'll miss Lilly, I liked her style, she's the kind of girl I tend to like. It's too bad she's going, but not entirely surprising, I just wish Lacey and Katie went first.

It is definitely suck over talent at the moment on the show, I was DISGUSTED by the results last night, I think I ranted about it in forums and on blogs and entertainment websites for 3+ hours. All 4 people that went home deserve to be in the top 12, Tim, Paige, Katie, & Aaron should have went home. There is no question about it. I have no idea how anyone would vote more for them, out of the thousands of comments I've read, I honestly did not see ANY support for any of them.

MASSSIVELY disappointed with this season. Alex was definitely one of my favorites. Todrick and Lily totally deserved to be in the top 12.
THE only reason I will watch next week is Siobhan. If she goes home, I'm done. I think this show just jumped the shark.

Yep, the producers definitely went for a shocker-I didn't agree with ANY of those eliminations. I wasn't crazy about Todrick, but he sounded even better on his sing out and deserved to take on the Stones. Alex had 2 great weeks I thought, he just needed more stage presence. But I was SHOCKED when Katelyn AND Lilly went home! They were so interesting! Paige, Katie, and Lacey-the 3 weakest girls, got in! It boggles the mind.....

I watch Survivor Thursday nights and flip back & forth during commercials. The camera cut over to Todrick and Katelyn and I was like, "whew, thank goodness, they made it................ Then I flipped back and saw then end.
Total shock. That's some f!@#in stupid shit I'm tellin ya. Haven't been this pissed since Ricky Braddy got cut so early on a few season ago.

Well I do think Paige is talented. She has just picked the LAMEST songs. She should be gone. Lacey shouldn't be there either but she did really well this week. But neither better than Lily. I'm so disappointed with this year. Not only on the singing but also the quality of the show. It seems so unorganized and rushed. Who's directing it? Must be someone new because the production appears very amateurish.

I agree with you that Crystal, Siobhan and MIke are the best of the top 12. But what's new about that? In past seasons that seems to be about the average for the top 12. 3 good people.
None of the people voted off had a chance to win, so I don't care.
I think Simon leaving American Idol might actually improve the show, give it new life, because I've been sick of the show since season 4. It couldn't hurt.

well maybe its personal opinion, but last year we had Adam, Kris, Matt, Allison, Alexis, Danny, Anoop, Lil(at the time), and Meagn(for me).
There was TONS to look. This year I only care about Siobhan, and I only care about her in a third favorite kind of way since Katelyn and Lily were my other 2 faves.

This season is just awful...a trainwreck of pathetic, lazy, guitar-strumming deadbeats. I'm actually going on VFTW--a site which I despise--out of boredom. Crystal is the only female worth watching. I will never understand in a million years why Lilly Scott got kicked off. She was the best contestant next to Crystal, leagues above Aaron Kelly, Paige, Lacey, Didi, Andrew Garcia, and all those other bums. This is a repeat of Kris robbing Danny.

I was kinda over idol after Kris beat Adam. I was just sitting there being like.. okay, idol is officially a joke now. and well, this season, im only watching for the lulz. Ever since episode 1, i didnt take it seriously. and i didnt get attached. Well, I mean, there IS Siobhan that I really like, but I wouldnt be that surprised if, for whatever reason, she doesnt make top 2. Im already expecting the worst, like it ALWAYS happens on american idol. Not even gonna start getting excited here.

I didn't think Katelyn or Toddrick should go home. Alex Lambert, was that just the most sorrowful young man you ever did see! He has got to live and perform in a way he will be able to avoid regret. But he's talented. Lilly, I never enjoyed hearing or watching her, and I thought I Fall To Pieces was performed very strangely. It was hard to listen. I do know she wanted it very badly, though. She performed on the street for 3 years. Good luck to all, and great video Mollie.

Alex's reaction was sooo genuine that it was heart wrenching to watch onscreen! I really agree with him in that there was a lot more he had to offer, and we didn't get to see it at all. And the fact Tim Urban is still there has to be THE BIGGEST JOKE. He had ONE good performance; he wasn't even a contender. I hope the judges bring down the wrath of god with their criticism next week. There should be NO excuse for any of them to fuck up. A lot of them got lucky. I wish there was a wild card round

Honestly, I am not surprised by Lilly and Todrick. Lilly just didn't have the look or personality to win over America. Toddrick was too much of a diva. Alex was a shocker for me. I was sad to see Katelyn go, but she didn't have as good of a performance.
I think what happened is those who gave BAD performances received more votes than those who performed okay. Like fans felt they had to vote for to "save" those who weren't as good. And people may have assumed Alex and Lilly were safe.
