@bluereyes I think you just have to film what you want to film at regular speed, then speed up the clip when editing it. There isn't an option to take a picture every 5 seconds (with the iSight for example) so you can't officially do a time lapse, but you can make it seem like you do but speeding up your clip in iMovie
