In the next episode, we go In Search Of...J.J. , who disappeared shortly after filming this episode, Two men, dressed in black, claiming to be government officials visited his home, asking to question him alone. Neither the men in black, nor J.J., were ever seen again. ;)
Those kids looked like they were having alot of fun. I remember when my son was under 2 and how it seemed that I just knew what he wanted. I was right most of the time. This could be part of the bond that a mother and child form.
i agree that these documentaries are great, and nimoy is fantastic with the kids here.
the statistical arguments made on this first segment, though, aren't very convincing. nimoy mentions that the ESP researcher performed experiments like this thousands of times and found data that was unlikely to occur by chance only several times. this is sometimes called the "file drawer effect." Even if an effect doesn't exist, you'll get a few significant results if you repeat the experiment enough times.
I just thought what a lovely manner he had with the children. Always said "he" hadn't done well, not that they hadn't. A lovely even tone of voice. Really good way with kids

Kids selected based on their enthusiasm for the experiment?? That sounds hokey. Love the footage of Nimoy explaining ESP to the kids though.

How lucky were those kids to hang out with Mr. Spock and play E.S.P. games all afternoon? I'm jealous!
