Stephanie's a great singer and she really gives it her all, but I just can't get into this material. The lyrics are too plain spoken, the sentiment too generic. Surely there could've been a cleverer, less cliched way for Dolly to have written this song. Some other songs from the show are okay, but I find this one lacking originality. Ben Brantley's review was dead on.

i so wish she was going on tour when this goes on tour. I would die to see her! i am so freaking pissed that when i stayed at the marriott where this was playing, even though i wasn't able to see it, that i could meet stephanie and megan. BLOCKHEAD ALL THE WAY!

And that is why Stephanie is my hero. that pretty much sums it up. I was there, the night before and I couldn't stop crying. I'm never going to get to hear her sing it live again and that just breaks my heart. :(
