  • 2:40 - I saw an Impala LS. I have been in one before when I was in San Francisco except it was a midnight blue one. I was not happy with it. I was sick of being in there because it did not have remote start, compass directions, and a weather station. I own an Impala LT and that is way better than the LS. If I saw an SS Impala, I will drive it. If you hate all of the videos there, then unsubscribe!

  • Beginning halfway in April 2010, the cameras no longer make a turn around to the closeup when a contestant comes to the Turntable area. The cameras slight move to the left of the center of the audience and the One Bid, just like the contestant comes to the center of the stage.

  • The jib camera is a great addition.

  • i love this show i would always wake up early to watch but now i dont know if it comes on anymore or what channel :( i guess i will have to watch it here :)

  • I wish they would bring back the part where Rich says " Stay tuned for more pricing games and the fabulous showcases which are coming up on the 2nd half of The Price is Right "

  • I hope in the future episodes, the One Bid (Contestants' Row) displays might show The Price Is Right logo of their contestants until the contestant in question makes a bid (like the insignias in Veterans Day in November 2009). I wanna see The Price Is RIght logo in each of the Contestants' Row displays, please.

  • The Price Is Right logo might display in the future episodes for the One Bid rounds until a bid is placed in them as it did from the Veterans Day episode from November 2009.

  • In the future episodes, The Price Is Right logo might display in each One-Bid podiums (red, blue, yellow, green).

  • I'm so mad jealous about the dresses that the models get to wear. They're crazy beautiful.

  • It's exactly 9,000! ...Not.

  • Well, contestant two was only off by about $6,600 lol! I'd love to know what the heck he was thinking when he made that bid.

  • CR could've been done better. I actually like the turntable set better than that 3'rd grade paint project that was there. The turntable looks lost, though. The Showcase Showdon podia FINALLY gets an update. It's probably the only part of the show that was constantly updated until the mid '90's. Don't care much for the scalable font, though.

  • I love this new set & the new Plinko intro shot, but where the "Star of the Price is Right" at the intro?

  • They got rid of it so they can add 5 seconds of commercial time ;l.

  • "The intro to the show was changed because we wanted to get to the 'come on downs' quicker. I also asked to not be called 'The Star of The Price Is Right!' Im just the host. The contestants and the prizes are the stars." - Drew Carey

  • The big wigs at CBS call the shots. That's never a surprise when they have to fill TV time with commercials. Believe me, I work in TV and that where it's gone.

  • I was also expecting the Plasma Screen in the back of the audience to be much larger than it is seen here.

  • Starting this season, when Drew comes out through the big doors, they say "Here's your host" instead of "Here is the star of The Price is Right." I wonder why??

  • I like the new set. I'm happy that they decided to bring the lighted border back. Contestants row is cool. The turntable stage is wider. I know is the beginning of the new season but stuff can get added and changed along the way.

  • Also, the normal colors in Contestants' Row previously used from January 31, 2003 through June 15, 2007 is once again restored.

  • Hey no more commercial break after the first game? That saves a bit of time right there although they probably I haven't seen this show since the opener of S 37. I like the new LCD screens on CR but why on earth do have that god-awful gray ceiling design? Yuck. Other than that, I could actually tolerate Drew rooting for the contesant. He seems to really want them to win I noticed. Let's see part two here.

  • For example, with calling the names too fast...when the 4th contestant's name is called, you can see that the 3rd contestant is walking right behind him to get to contestants row.....the show has become to fast-paced these days

  • I like the new set, but I really dislike the new light boarder. Also, when they call the first 4 contestant down, they should wait a bit longer before calling the next name, I mean give them a chance to get to contestants row first before calling the next name, it's goten to the point where they are just rushing the show now.

  • I have always had that same thought. At least give the contestants time to get into Contestants' Row before they call another. That has always bugged me (since they started cutting the come-on-down camera time around Season 33).

  • To the people downvoting my previous comment:

I'm not referring to the quality of the show. I'm pointing out that Rich Fields no longer says, in the opening, "the fabulous, 60-minute" Price is Right. It sounds somewhat awkward. It'll take some getting used to, I guess.

  • I prefer an actual light border. Why mess with a good thing? The new purple-included border they started in S36 before removing it completely looked fine IMO. I concur with getting away from the Barker era as it, the podiums, and the IUFB area were all still the old design. Now the entire set is all-new and all Drew. Now just for the pricing games...

  • They could have used the dollar signs as a lighting border like they did on Antinale Al Precio.

  • I like blue, but, maybe if they change the blue squares on the new light border to yellow/orange, I might like it.

  • The border was nice in the opening in my opinion.

  • K..so here's how I feel so far...

    a) Not a big fan of the light border...

    b) TPiR Graphic, pretty nice!

    c) wasn't a big fan of the LCD C.R., but now, I kinda like it.

    d) If you're gonna update the set, the theme, the graphics, the everything..why not update the GAMES??? (Lucky 7 look has been like that since what? Early 90s?)

    e) no commercial break after the first game?!?

    f) The actual retail price cards...change each round?

    g) They would have to use the backdrop for Plinko for two reasons

  • They should have used the 1994 theme music for this season. It makes more sense for HD.

  • I agree with you. The 1994 theme should have been used since the beginning of 36th Season...

  • That is very true. I also think he should have used a regular wireless instead of trying to copy Marco Antonio Regil, that's where he got the idea from.

  • Well, it's more like the carbon copy of Billy Bush's Mic from LMaD. Marco's wireless mic was more like Bob's Mic from 1992-2002. And take a closer look at Drew. The mic that he wears on his tie or shirt.

  • Drew still doing all right as host, but the set looks so good.

  • First time the "Race Game" curtain was lifted to reveal "Plinko".

  • No, actually. They've used it for a while, I think. That big thing hides the game until the prize is revealed on other games (like an upright piano, waverunner, or car is revealed, then the barrier lifts and everyone sees the game while the prize is shown). I've seen it lifting as a shadow on some S37 eps.

  • Never knew that.

  • Nope... they raised the Race Game curtain during the early days of Plinko

  • I was already told that!

  • There's Always Tomorrow I Bet

  • That is an EXPENSIVE photo album!

  • 6:14 Director win.

  • The only thing I really like about the new look for The Price is Right is the new look of the Contestants Row Bid Displays, the LCD look looks pretty cool, and the color of the first position is red, I'm glad they went back to the color scheme of red, blue, yellow, and green from the Bob Barker era, but the new look of the stage where the turntable is doesn't look so great, I still wish they would bring back the ORIGINAL version of the theme from the Barker era when Bob was doing the show.

  • The new Plinko wide shot is the best Plinko start since they killed the sign.

  • It's hardly the first time the Plinko small prizes were all "Starts with" or all "Ends with"... maybe ten times when Bob Barker was host?

  • All "ends with" is absolutely fine, because that's what most people pick most often. 4 "starts with" is an incredibly hard setup that definitely should not be there on a season premiere.

  • Fair enough, if that's your opinion... but "starts with" and "ends with" aside, those small prizes weren't even very difficult to guess at... :-)

  • For us maybe (I did get 3/4 right) but contestants pick "ends with" very very often.

  • Well we have to distinguish the crowd that Watches TPIR and the people who Play TPIR.
