i done this and took a risk, i displayed dubs. then hit ctrl +a (wndows 7) then hit delete on the keyboard and then clicked show all.

well let say i went of 68GB of music down to on 32.5GB of music..

hi this isnt very helpful cuz its dif on pc but anyway i know how to do it on itunes library but my only duplicates r on my ipod how do u do it for ipod cuz that way wont work any one know??? please

just so you know the new itunes has it in a diff place, go to file> then show duplicates

@MindBogglingFilmz Well in the new itunes if you delete a duplicate or a song in general it will alert you saying "WARNING if you delete this song from your library it will also remove it from any ipod or iphone" well at least thats what mine said

check your duplicates by going to File > show duplicates

@Sror3d i cant do that cuz then it will delete one from library and one from ipod so i cant play it on library only ipod if i do that :(

Just to let you know for a PC you need to go to "Files" not "View".

Obviously you can click the first of a set of duplicates and press and hold shift, then select the end of the group of duplicates to select any and all in between first and last selected songs. :)

just hold the command key (CTRL on Windows) and then go through selecting one by one. At the end delete all of them at once.

if the all the duplicates are next each other u can click on one (one click) then hold shift click on the last one u wanna erase and everything in between will be highlited and u can just erase it
