  • This is so true! I never really understood why I felt bad after meeting certain people, now I know. Great information.

  • Didnt like the first scenerio. Trying to talk to the dad coming up the stairs who is obviously pre-occupied and frustrated? At some point, common sense tells you when you should not try to talk to somebod. Eh anyway. the 90 second rule is good :)

  • The 90-second rule - it makes so much sense.

  • Just rewatched - a very good rule.

  • I wish my ex-husband had seen this 10 years ago!

  • You need to go there? So both of you are in the hole? Dumb idea. What he means it to be empathetic to their situation.

  • @The3nlightened0ne He just has displaced anger.

  • My wife greets the cats first, me second (if I'm lucky).

  • I agree with your techniques. I work at the DMV as a greeter. People like to be acknowleged when arriving.

  • what a dick...that black guy.

  • Great message....

  • Jim, Great message, great video! People need to see this. It's SO EASY to just pause for a moment before joining others! Consider where they may be and what kind of day they've had before dumping drama on them! A great response will ALWAYS make problems seem easier to deal with and will open lines of communication. Great job!

  • Great video!

  • I don't think that's the point of the video. I think it just means that your "significant other" should come first over kids, bills, problems, etc.

  • Nice concept and good execution on the video Bob. This is certainly one thing that we can easily do to make sure our loved ones know we are present. Being a newlywed...I will keep this in mind!

  • This is great!

  • Awesome video Jim! I love the message. ~ Dawn Davis
