I loved EQ2, it was huge, and really detailed and beautiful. WoW was fun, but it felt so small and structured, EQ and EQ2 felt vast, wild, and epic. WoW was a game, EQ was an experience.
@derekgbraun iv played eq since launch do you think that its gotten better or worse cause it feel like it got worse it used to be a game where you would get a group and use tatics but now they made everything solo and nerfed the crap out of mobs. They even madeit really asy now days to get plat you dont really have to work for your master because of research assistant every year i swear i quit for a little bit and the game gets worse and worse pretty soon its going to be wow which takesnoskil
Excellent video, it gives a small taste to the size of Norrath, with each zone being potentially quite large that's a large world to explore, and I'm sure there are a few places missing :)
The video looked great too at a native 1280x720, really worked wonders avoiding the usual youtube blur.
Thought you went through the zones too fast, the dance was slightly annoying and overused; but overall I liked it - even though I don't even play the game!
I set the game resolution to 1280*720 so I did not have to mess around resizing video from 1680*1080, I captured the video with fraps, I then converted all the clips to Xvid using virtual dub and stipped the audio I did not need and put it all together with Adobe premier pro. Yep it took ages!
I am impressed that someone finally found a use for that ridiculous dance animation.

The real big problem with Eq2 at the time was system specs.Even now you still need a good computer to play it.
