the more i watch this real news, the more i realize how nestled in fairy tale land these guys really are...
climate change is a sham just like global warming was... and global trade is as an idea equally perverted. it is all about shifting money, control, and power to the top.. while we all squabble for the scraps at the bottom. learn history, this stuff has happened many times, and was the cause of most every war... it is communism packaged in a pretty little box and people are eating it up
"Tax haven" is just another word for a place that is more free than where you live. Taxes are evil and this will be the end of my subscription on this propaganda station.
Did you listen to what was being discussed? Regardless of what Ol' Reagan said, Taxes can be good. In this case they are talking about using taxes to STOP the shady practices in the international financial world. Devaluing currency, etc. the global financial system is now international and has huge amounts of power. a equally powerful government (represented by the people's interest) MUST exist to regulate it! If there was no huge banking financial system, we wouldn't need as much govt!
"The people's interest" is a hollow phrase, catchy for people like you. There is no people's intererest. Every person has his own interests and bankers are people too.
Devaluing the currency happens when a government starts printing money to avoid an angry "people" by collecting more taxes. It is a hidden tax. By government.
Shady practices like bailing out failing banks with tax payers money?
Money is printed by the Federal Reserve. Which acts on it's own interests (not the government). Surely you know that? That is what needs to be regulated, and that's what I'm talking about.
The trouble is that the vast majority of the population depends on that 10% that is unusually productive. In Atlas Shrugged the world basically collapsed because all those who were productive removed themselves from a society they despised. Far better to find better ways to separate/identify the productive (real economy) rich from the unproductive "aristocracy of pull" and tax/imprison the latter based on the extent of malfeasance. The former should be left alone to produce brilliantly.
Bullshit. Using anything by Ayn Rand, herself a total sociopath, as a blueprint for society is like throwing the vast majority of people to the sharks. The bottom 90% doesn't depend on the top 10% to survive, the top 10% depends on the bottom 90% to do the work. These apparently brilliantly "productive" fuckheads don't realize where they would be without the working class who are the real producers and always have been.
Ayn Rand both had empathy and a conscience. Calling her a psychopath is way off base.
She was insightful but I don't agree with a number of her beliefs.
One clarification is the 10% producers, while this has truth to it, those 10% are not an elite. Any person can choose to be productive or not. Identifying that productivity has value is important.
You think the ratio is flipped. I don't agree with you or Ayn, I think those numbers are garbage.
Obviously you didn't listen - it's not the average people in the U.S who are using the tax havens, it's the filthy rich. So the people who should be getting taxed alot are the one's dodging payment while the people who shouldn't be getting taxed much at all are getting hit. The present version of healthcare sucks because it is an attempt to appease the people who have more money than they know what to do with.
Its not actually the filthy rich who are the most frequent users of tax havens, the majority are people who are trying to protect the their relatively much smaller fortunes. The filthy rich are the ones that profit from taxation which is why they want to attack tax havens!
PBrofaith: You are right but that is not going to happen. The reason is that the rich people who have the power don't pay much taxes and get the rest of us to pay for everything. YOu want to get rid of the Federal Taxation system, make these billionaires piling up all their money pay some taxes also, then maybe we can talk about it.
I see your reasoning. But sure it can happen, its gotta happen, just like the whether and seasons gotta change. It is just inevitable. Folks will ether cooperate with the dismantling of the emerging global state and we can have an enjoyable transition, or they can grasp harder at it. This of course will bring freedom more quickly but will create a lot of suffering.
if American and European governments were not so incompetent in spending and tax revenues tax havens wouldn't exist

I like Sunny Kapoor. He speaks well, addresses the issues before him and doesn't really try to dodge, and seems honest.
I respectfully don't agree with him on most of his issues, but do like listening.

Close tax havens?
Dream on.
More pie in the sky nonsense.
You probably believe in global warming , too.
The rich will always find a way around it.

You are funny. The huge banking system we have now exists solely BECAUSE of the government.

Productivity should be rewarded, period.

He used to work at Lehman Bros. Ok, so he's a crook. Let's see what he has to say...
Tax havens are being used because the taxes are too high in the US, especially the inflation tax!
The current version of healthcare is just another version of higher taxes.
The US has gone insane.

WTF is this guy talking about. USA is the riches country in the world?
There's no export and every dollar in circulation has debt attached with interest going to a private banking corp owned by offshore interests.

This is upside down. The question is should we put a stop to tax haven. It should be how can we stop the system of taxation!
