@christoferL I have done countless studies on hebrews 8 and i see it as the new covenant after Calvary. Which explains to us through scripture that we no longer need to slay a lamb for sinning and that Jesus is the Mediator for our sins to the father.. Which is only through repentence.. It has nothing to do with the old testament being "obsolete" God does not waiver on anything.. The way we were supposed to worship then is still the way we should worship now. Thats my interpretation

And by the way - God waivers when God wants to - did He not waiver on the fate of Sodom and Gomorra (Gen 18) with Abraham? I don't think the songs are meant to be like a sermon but more of a message for us to interpret the way we want to. As far as the music goes it really is no different than most other Metal bands..Christian or not. I think people should learn to listen to music as it is presented not as there afiliations are. besides there are a lot of awesome Christian metal out there if u are willing to look for it (and its not a hard search). on the plus side there are a few Christian metal artists out there becoming accepted (Underoath, ABR, The Devil Wares Prada, Etc.)
Another reason why a lot of today's Christian metal bands suck is because bands from the 80s like Stryper used a more melodic sound in their music. nowadays, the only christian metal bands that are out there are a bunch of idiots trying to use Christianity as a means of screaming on the top of their lungs like death metal bands. However, one good artist out there that doesnt need to do screamo is called "Audiovision." the singer's voice is very well done. You should take a listen to them

Well I don't think you can judge how good a song sounds based on the words they're saying, but lyrically, christian bands have much more thought out lyrics with deep meanings rather than just swearing to fill up space. So I can't see why anyone can say christian music sucks compared to other music when someone's viewpoint doesn't have anything to do with the "music".

Genesis/ God created the heavens and the earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th day. Which God called the sabbath, he sanctified it and made it holy for us to worship him on.. the 7th day of the week is Saturday... @christoferL I have done countless studies on hebrews 8 and i see it as the new covenant after Calvary. Which explains to us through scripture that we no longer need to slay a lamb for sinning and that Jesus is the Mediator for our sins to the father.. Which is only through repentence.. It has nothing to do with the old testament being "obsolete" God does not waiver on anything.. The way we were supposed to worship then is still the way we should worship now. Thats my interpretation

And by the way - God waivers when God wants to - did He not waiver on the fate of Sodom and Gomorra (Gen 18) with Abraham? Has He not changed His mind several times in scripture (Ex. 32, 1Sm 15:35, Jonah 3:10) - even repenting ever having made mankind (Gen 6:6). God certainly doesn't change - but His approach towards men has changed through Christ. GBU!

I don't think the songs are meant to be like a sermon but more of a message for us to interpret the way we want to. As far as the music goes it really is no different than most other Metal bands..Christian or not. Maybe I don't quiet understand what your beef is but if it means that much to you maybe you should start a band and get out the message that you feel should be heard.

I think people should learn to listen to music as it is presented not as there afiliations are. besides there are a lot of awesome Christian metal out there if u are willing to look for it (and its not a hard search). on the plus side there are a few Christian metal artists out there becoming accepted (Underoath, ABR, The Devil Wares Prada, Etc.)

Another reason why a lot of today's Christian metal bands suck is because bands from the 80s like Stryper used a more melodic sound in their music. nowadays, the only christian metal bands that are out there are a bunch of idiots trying to use Christianity as a means of screaming on the top of their lungs like death metal bands. However, one good artist out there that doesnt need to do screamo is called "Audiovision." the singer's voice is very well done. You should take a listen to them

As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, Demon Hunter, Norma Jean, The Famine, The Devil Wears Prada, Impending Doom, Oh Sleeper...just to name a few.
And if you feel the same about these bands (and don't form an opinion unless you've heard ALL of their material) then you obviously don't like metal.

Well I don't think you can judge how good a song sounds based on the words they're saying, but lyrically, christian bands have much more thought out lyrics with deep meanings rather than just swearing to fill up space. So I can't see why anyone can say christian music sucks compared to other music when someone's viewpoint doesn't have anything to do with the "music".
