  • I like this. A lot.

  • to every squarepusher fan. squarepusher was never futuristic.. p.s this is awesome

  • This song changed my life.

  • i have stumbled upon something good. . .

  • This is what my penis tells me everyday

  • this is a robot sex song, like listen to the lyrics.

  • The music is nice, but the best part of this album is the comments by diehard squarepusher fans.

  • I've juste synchronized Squarepusher's soul.

  • Its been said theres been no genres of music invented in the last ten years except for each time squarepusher releases a new album.

  • @MrShayneOneill and Autechre! lol

  • It's no Port Rhombus, but pretty cool anyway...

  • best ever

  • that riff at the beginning makes me think of hotel california :s

but anyway, yeah i think i WILL have to get this one

  • This still makes me feel more alive than i ever felt! Best record i have in my collection!!

  • So upbeat at 1.5x speed

  • my my brain...

  • feels like a vinyl album from the early 70s

  • The Seinfeld bass-solos-on-crack are gone. Pure, restrained brilliance.

  • this would have been awesome as an adult swim bump song

  • And from these 5 minutes spawned all of James Blakes career

  • Ready for something different...

  • Whats the name of this album?

  • I don't like this...

  • God I love squarepusher's music!

  • Driving home at nite music, love this album!!

  • I think tom killed the high frequencies in his ears, cause it's harsh at times. This will be so crazy live!

  • @LIGHTRONIX

Aphex Twin said in an interview he was scared he was losing the high frequency of his hearing, and that he'd have to keep adding more and more treble so he can hear it. So you may be more right than you thought.

  • @PantherFox it sucks because I'm only just turning 23 in a month and I've lost some high frequency hearing. Too much loud music as a teenager and all that death metal I used to listen to haha. I find it funny that all my fave artists tend to lean on the harsh side. But yeah In the last year I've gotten into music production and am learning mixing so I've learnt to really look after my hearing now . And maybe it's because I'm more aware or tuned in but my hearing has become better as a result!

  • @Jez4prez listening to wayyy too much aphex twin, squarepusher (ultravisitor is harsh as in certain parts), autechre and venentian snares + death metal for as long as I can remember = bad for high frequency hearing lol. I remember the very very first time I heard aphex twin it actually hurt my ears. Now I listen to him and it sounds perfectly normal...... lol

  • Go sikSpastik!

  • He's onto something with these records but he needs improve the mix. You just couldn't play these tunes in a club 'cause they're so poorly mixed. Drums sound thin as fuck.

  • @coolshit28 You're observing mix and sound quality from a youtube video?

  • @ravenoftheredsky True, but I'm listening on a pair of studio monitors, and the mix is actually pretty bad. The guitars are too quite, the bass is muddied, and the vocals are way too loud. The mix has a lot of dynamic range, but in this instance its a drawback. I have this album in high quality MP3 which is decent enough. It sounds like it was mixed on headphones, because on headphones, the mix is perfect. Not that I can say much, my mixes aren't the best , but this isn't great either.

  • @KCJacksonMuz I agree that the mix is perfect on headphones. I'll check this out on my monitors tomorrow when I don't have to worry about dorm mates waking up and see if I can agree with you there.

  • @KCJacksonMuz disagree...it's not mixed like a classic pop song as you perhaps would like. the voice drives this song, it's a mixing choice. the whole track is like floating behind this voice, i find a wonderful groove in it. actually, the whole album is lead by this robotic voice

  • @ravenoftheredsky That said, I like the song and album regardless.

  • @coolshit28 Maybe he wasn't making music for the club?

  • I wouldnet expect anything less, or anything better. its an amazing perfect job for now. And I hoope this shines to the next generation of producers/musicians to make music at this quality and calibre. thank you Tom Jenkinson

  • I keep returning to hear this again. Decided to find out who was responsible for this music and how it was created. This is a magnificent example of the ways cutting edge technology should be implemented in the creation of new, exciting sonic landscapes. One can only hope that eventually, people's taste will improve to an extent where the masses learn to tell the difference between this and the noise found in most of today's hip hop & indie genres.

  • If you like this then i suggest you seek out 80's R'n'B heavyweight's Zapp...Some people don't realise that the 'talk box' has been knocking about for decades, way before it's reputation was ruined by the vocoder

  • @howitt400 true - the talk box (I own one, and have used it on a professional level) doesn't pitch fix, or make singers out of no talent "crap talking" jerk-offs... sad what the vocoder has done, that's for sure. Talk box requires talent, even if it does provide all guitar hero wannabe's with a crutch :)

  • Daft Punk

  • @racrav This is so far ahead of daft punk. You are comparing flat worms to eagles.

  • @quotha WHAT?

  • Damn, this is good

  • WOW !!

  • @elhunt212 <3

  • Stanley Clark meets private school Emo kid

  • Tom u r a true Genius. Forever evolving... 3:24 stunning!

  • I liked this album when I first heard it, for sure, but it's also slowly grown on me until it's like, in some ways, my favourite thing he's ever done. I'm also excited because it feels like he's only real scratched the surface.

  • This is what it would sound like if Daft Punk was trying to seduce a woman.

  • I've listened to this an unhealthy amount of times. 0:26 gets me every time.

  • this album and concept is so far ahead of its time. true 'futuristic" music. thanks for not repeating yourself and moving way ahead of everyone........

  • @ryansmith1138 I don't know if it's really futuristic... Peter Frampton used the talkbox 30 years ago ^^. Anyway, this album blew my mind away

  • @ryansmith1138 So far ahead of its time that Daft Punk and Chromeo were doing it years before him. Squarepusher used to be ahead of his time, seems to be regressing now if you ask me.

  • @facefacts911 not even close!

  • @facefacts911 And the Zapp Band/Zapp & Roger did it before those two, so...? Making a slow jam and using a talkbox isn't a sign of regression and it's not like Daft Punk and Chromeo have been the only two groups to do so. I mean all Chromeo has done is taken an old sound (aforementioned Zapp and West Coast influences) and latched onto it and the only similarity between this and Daft Punk is that it's electronic music and slow and somber like Emotion or Something About Us...

  • @facefacts911 - chromeo? please, dont make me laugh. they arent even in comparisson. daft punk has been around since squarepusher but unlike tom jenkinson they havent progressed. there still pretty much doing the same thing. they only have 3 albums. on the other hand squarepusher has explored different forms of electronic musik and trys not to repeat himself. that is true progression. not repuataion or mimicing music of the 80's. (chromeo)

  • @facefacts911 and your youtube channel is boring

  • @facefacts911 this is nothing like daft punk, don't be blinded by the vocoder. did elektro herbie hancock stuff sound like daft punk too? please. this is a beautiful composition with harmonic content daft punk could only dream of

  • Thanx SopLusus! Track of the year by far

  • It's a mistake thinking of this as a Squarepusher album. Think of it as an R&B record from 2050. Then you'll see the light.

  • @hoakyman

well said, my friend and i were saying something of that effect just the other day!

  • @hoakyman spot on...this is so superior to all the R&B out there now. Those poor people listening to all that junk, oblivious to this slice of true quality

  • @hoakyman Gotta admit it - you're right.

  • @hoakyman I could not have said it better.

  • @hoakyman no because i hate RnB

  • @dec20056 Maybe, with this record, its time to revisit that opinion to make sure it's still true?

  • Don't h8 on the guy for trying to experiment. :< I enjoyed most of Tom's previous work and I have to say that I'm enjoying his new album as well. It's not as bad as some people make it out to be; it's just different, and it kind of grows on you. Can't go wrong with a little bit of chilltronica every once in a while.

  • Tom you totally fagged out on this album. You used to write stuff that blew my mind. This here just blows.
