  • JUST MADE IT... In 1962 "Funny Way Of Laughon' " peaked at No. 10 thus just making the Billboard's Top 10 and it spent a total of 11 weeks in the Top 100...

This record won Mr. Ives' a Grammy for Best Country & Wetern Record...

The song was written by country singer Hank Cochran...

  • My dad had this LP- I still have it but never take the time to get out vinyl records or a turntable anymore. Hearing this brings back so many wonderful memories of time spent with Dad. He's gone now, and music more than anything seems to help me feel connected to him. Thank you for posting this.

  • What a voice, he didn't have to have the mic stuck to his lips to make him sound good. This music will be here long after the crap they call music now.

  • Back in the 40's Burl sang a song on a radio program called "Let's Pretend". The song was Little Ah Sid, does anyone know about this song. If you do your older than dirt.

  • Wow. I heard this song 50 years ago as a little kid. I haven't thought about it until I found it on YouTube. I never realized how dark and melancholy it is. It's a much better song than I ever thought it was.

  • @DonkeyYote I also heard this song back in the day, along with 'Mr. In-Between'.

Don't try to figure out my age, but have a Happy Thanksgiving.

  • Still playing this with the band 47 years on. Great song. Thanks for this.

  • I really like this song!
