  • unfortunately the big guy is piling the pounds on again. FFS Andy cut out the pies!

  • I think poor guy's got cancer :(

  • @Edam3000 what makes you say that ?

  • @21centurynostradamus The way his face looks; from being chubby to that. Obviously I could be wrong.

  • @Edam3000 oh i thought you meant he developed cancer in the last week or so and i never heard about it . I think its because of the rapid weight loss which can mean cancer but he stopped drinking and tried to lose the weight.

  • I loved Andy the Viking at his best. A darts legend. Hope you come back again. You have a great woman behind you too. All the very best Andy

  • 17 stone? he'd lose a stone if he got a haircut .......don't wait 'til you're 30 stone , when you're 20 stone do something about it.

  • hope he come to the pdc wm 2011 :D

  • talk about beer belly

  • go andy we are all behind you!!!

  • interesting video.i got to 3 mins in and the lip sync was to bad to carry on.

  • drink all day and u ll get my ass

  • god bless Andy and i miss you playing. But the VIKING will be back and good luck on you recovery but put your health and family first and look forward t seeing you competing again

  • Saw you (Andy) on Grand Slam and couldn't believe the transformation. You are so handsome! Keep up the good work, keep away from the demon drink but don't put any weight back on ! You look terrific.

  • He's a bizarre shape now, it seems that they've taken the weight off his head/neck but left his midriff the size of a family car.

  • @UJSupanova hahahaha i was thinking the exact same thing he looks like a half empty toothpaste.

  • well most people lose the weight off of their gut last of all

  • @UJSupanova You do lose weight from the top down though, face. shoulders, chest and waste etc.

  • @WornGlobe No, you don't. You cannot choose where you cut fat first, it's genetic. Most people find it more difficult to lose fat in the lower abdominal region.

He's put a lot of weight back on again.

  • poor andy he looks thinner, but in a bad way

  • I know it's a friggin sin I mean his stroke and being on celebrity Fit Club he looks thinner in the face but still big.

and he's given up drinking he's one of my heroes and I'd love to meet him as a player myself

  • @pclose11 he will rise again, so not to negative, i do understand u words but, to negative is wrong like this.

  • He looks very unhealthy.

  • I saw him at thorpe park yesterday haha

  • God Bless him man he's a true dart player

  • All the best andy hope to see you back on the hockey soon.

  • he looks deformed now lol

  • yh he does

  • Andy has always played darts like a sportsman. There are other players who play in the same way : Bobby George, Barney, Jockey Wilson, Scotty Waites, Priestly and a good few more. It is very difficult for any jibes about his weight/ gut to hold any credence. Andy is a proper bloke: he loves his wife; plays great darts and could drink all his doubters under the table, which he has done.. far too often. .

  • Good luck mate a speedy recovery

  • has e fuk lost that es had surgery

  • Jesus H CHRIST.... Anyone with a gut that big is bound to have health problems. You could fit 2 of me in side his stomach alone.

  • what do you expect from a man who admits to drinking 25 beers a day...and god knows what he eats

  • wow he lost so much weight ....fair play to him

  • Holy shit!! The last time I saw Fordham was on 'Celebrity Fit Club' a couple of years ago or so, when he was circa 30st....

I wish him luck with his recovery, but his body is shot to f*ck now. Shame.

  • 12 beers as a pre-match ritual. That's what you call a proper geezer!

  • isnt he supposed to be joining the pdc

  • Ye he is off this week! Thats the only darts side to be on!!

  • yeh look at his face but also look at his gunt as sid widell would say wowee

  • woow his face soo.. different !

  • One of the nicest and most popular men in sport. we hope to see you back at the top one day andy.

  • he weighs half a ton ,drinks, smokes and he's got health problems? i don't believe it!

  • Well At Least He Eats but hes not anorexic

  • woooow!

look his face, what a difference!

    good luck with ur recovery.

  • woooow!

look his face, what a difference!

    good luck with ur recovery.

  • One Of Darts True Legends

    Great Achievement Andy

  • dude .. shave

  • he cant even drink1 pint

i read in the paper that his liver is far better and his transplant isnt for another 3 years at least so happy days hes recovering very well

  • According to an article on the British Liver Trust website he's been taken off the Liver transplant waiting list as his Liver has recovered sufficiently for him to keep it.

  • "Former world darts champion Andy Fordham has beaten the odds in his fight against liver disease, his doctors confirmed yesterday (1 December 2008). Through making massive changes to his lifestyle, losing 17 stone and giving up alcohol completely, his liver has recovered enough to make a liver transplant unnecessary at this time."

  • I wish he would shave that beard away when he would look a lot better.

  • Goodluck with your recovery Andy.

  • Good luck to you. I`ve played you when you were in Trondheim cople of years ago. Great man

  • nb4224 is correct. He does have a fat belly and a skinny face. What's the story with that?

  • The process of losing a lot of weight quickly does that. Probably nearly all of it is excess skin.

When I worked in a local pub, we played Andy Fordham's pub in a Kent superleague game - he attracted a big crowd and one of the best nights we had.

    Keep it up Andy

  • hes ill but hes regaining slowly ill get him to read the comments im sure hell appreciate what all of hes fans are sayin im hounerd to know andy we always go in hes pub and dad plays cards with him and all hes m8s nd dads m8s we have a laugh thats what its about at the end of the day but ill tell him to read the comments he might even leave a comment

  • Anyone who knows about weight loss knows the body is the last place you lose the weight soon he will I am sure well done on your loss so far and I hope to see you on the lakeside stage again soon

  • all the best Andy the Viking Fordham from another true blue watp.

  • Good Luck Andy, you win the next Lakeside agaiN!

  • Good luck Andy, I hope it all goes well for you.

  • A very brave guy, he's come such a long way in a relatively short time. If he can completely recover his health, never mind his game, it will be an amazing achievement. I'd love to see him back at the Lakeside, and see the reception he'd get if and when that happens.

  • wotta change, hope he comes back to his best

  • andy fordham rocks... the last of the stereotypical "fat, beer drinking" dart players, but the fact that he's seen what's up, got himself sorted, and started playing pro darts again, says a lot for the man...hope to see him back on tv sooner rather than later...

  • Hats off to Andy. Phenominal achievement, shame he has damaged his liver.

    the PDC

  • Respect really respect!

  • Keep it up Andy!

  • yeah hes still got a long way to go, and he knows that!

this isnt the finished article so lets let him continue the way hes going!

  • the thing is though he is still 21 stone which is still dangerously overweight

  • in some way his illness was a blessing - i mean look at him now, without the illness he wouldnt look as good as he does

  • A great darts player and a great guy, and I'm glad to see that he's on the road to recovery, his illness has been saddening, but hats off to him for being able to keep strong and to stay determined to get better :)

Welcome Back to the Oche Andy, hats off to ya :)

  • stop all this crap saying he looks awful ans shit like that he's done fantastic to lose so much weight, look at him constantly smiling, you can tell hes happier.

yes you do notice his eyes alot more but thats because his face is slimmer.

    legend!

  • was shocked and saddened to hear of Andy's illness. wishing you all the best Andy and your family too

  • he looks awful, eyes kinda bursting out of the sockets - but this is a result of the weight loss

  • We love you Andy - keep on truckin!!!

  • he looks shocking. he seems to have lost all the weight from his face and shoulders.

  • Andy Take care of your self. Wish you the best of health going into the future

  • Ive played Andy in league matches and its like hes a different person.

Stick with it "big man" and keep pulling for jens sake.
