There is a movie trailer available for viewing on YouTube. I just saw it before making this post and clicked on this link thinking that it would take me to another video with a few more scenes that weren't shown in this trailer since it was a teaser. Type in Trigun movie trailer again and you should find it. I'm a HUGE fan of the show and know for a fact that the movie is currently in production to be released this year (in Japan at least) and that the scenes shown were genuinely real and new.

Vash was... sort of framed. The explosion in July City was triggered by Knives even though it was Vash's angel arm that exploded. It would be as though someone took your hand and forced you to pull the trigger on a gun.

And he was most certainly framed for everything else later on in the series. In the comic, you see a lot more of the things that Knives did to frame Vash.
