Some of you people are saying how cheesy and simple these effects are. Compared to Adobe After Effects and Final Cut, yes. These effects are child play compared to the effects presented by other programs. But keep in mind that iMovie HD was used, and creating effects such as these on that program isn't as easy as one would think. For iMovie HD, these effects were executed very well.

not great your muzzle flares are to rigid and rough you need to smooth it into the scene also a gun like that would produce quite a bit of smoke so you would also need to add in smoke effects

@mrwelsh23 iMovie HD has NO smoke effects, or any particle emitters of any kind. The program wasn't even designed to be able to create muzzle flashes. It doesn't look so hot compared to other muzzle flashes produced by other programs, but it's pretty damn good for being made with iMovie HD. So basically, the muzzle flashes seen in this video are as good as it will get, as far as iMovie-produced muzzle flashes go.
