Shit I've only watched 19th sept episode (england) :o I'm not watching anymore until I've watched them from the beginning I said. I thought it was only on season 3 or 4. BLOODY 7?! XD So many hours of Spooks ahead. *sigh* Heaven!

It would be hysterical if he came back as a Manchester United football hooligan, lol. Imagine that. Adam Carter pogo jumping with fans at the Old Trafford while he is casing a russian football hooligan on the other team. And they chase each other through the players changing rooms and manage to get a quick shot of C,ronaldo doing stretches and Wayne Rooney scoffing a burger. I think I should apply to be a screenwriter on the series and let my mind take the audience to a higher plane. I wish.

Adam was my favorite lead actor because he doesn't look like your action-hero type character. Its a pity he left the show. I can't imagine anyone in such a high profile role in a award winning drama series would get replaced. More likely he left because the role was ...a little too realistic or because he wanted to broaden his horizons with other acting projects. Either way, he was a good actor and I did enjoy watching the goings-on with him and Roz. Top class drama, best in the world

A role model? Adam Carter?The screenwriter/s made Adam Carter into a character that you would trust, no matter how questionable his conduct. As with the other characters - he seems as normal as apple pie. The odd assassination and blowing up of a train, all in a day's work. But that is what really happens in the murky world of politics today - only on tv dramas, it comes to us, minus the torn bodies and screams. A bit like CNN and Fox news. We only see the edited version. RPH though, is okay

I think Rupert PJ is a great actor. I still think that role models are people who set high standards of moral conduct. Adam Carter the character, could possibly be a role model for people who wanted to get into the murky world of politics, but more than likely, he would be the role model for the more dangerous folk that walk among us - militia types, survivalists, people of that ilk. Not on purpose, but simply because they are the ones who like the cloak and dagger, spy, agent, assasin types.

Well i think its pretty mean to leave the audience in such a big fiery blast. Adam isn't dead yet in the series that we are watching in New Zealand. Next week they start the next season, and already they are showing the preview shots of the car exploding after he gets out of it. Well at least, there is a slim chance he might get hard up for money, and need to do another stint with Spooks to pay the bills. Maybe he'll re-appear with amnesia and a drinking problem or football hooligan.

Does any one agree that spooks after the breakdown of characters in series 3. That spooks is downhill with bad acting from the two woman and the not so good music, copying the bourne theme, u need to listen carefully (slightly) Not looking for negative talk here cause im a huge fan of spooks, own the first 3 on dvd. Just a shame TOM Whent and the rest, and then i just started to like adam and he goes lol

if you watch the car blast hes half way out of the car and the explosion is directed up over he had time to hit the floor and get out of the way granted he'll have some bad burns but he's been in worse situations ie trapped in a building with a mossad hit squad he`s been captured 3 times and tortured 2 of them and trapped in a flooding dam...

i read in a tv mag that ros said that adam would be leaving the grid but that dont mean that hes dead adam is very passionate about his work and he seemed to let lucas in to quick and in my opinon adam would never do something like that without a very good motive i expect to see adam back in maybe episode 6 to 8

what proof have you got to support your claim? when we have'nt seen a funeral/memorial or a coffin which would lead us to belive he is truly dead and if you watched all the seasons you'll know that adam worked in russia when he worked for six where he was captured and tortured also to kill the main character of in the first episode just is'nt sittng right with me and for adam to let lucas in it just don't add up to what adams character would do which is be very wary of lucas...

We saw him caught up in a massive bomb explosion. No-one in the series has alluded to him being alive. A new leading character has been hired for the series. He's openly referred to as dead by several of the main characters, and Harry murdered the Russian intelligence chief in what he described as "revenge".

The guy who played him announced about a year ago that he was leaving the series.

He's very dead.
