  • was that bull in the heather at the end of it? ♥

  • @iNERD514 - oh yeah, Breeders and SY, what a combo :)

  • I love deal sisters, ummmmmmm

  • dam I like her smiling face......alot.

  • How I miss 120 minutes. Best show EVER!

  • ow my....

  • haha just noticed at the very end that Bob and the boys were the ones peakin in.

  • Jimmy's kicking the hell out of those drums!!

  • I also miss this lineup of the Breeders. It's really a shame how toned down they have become.

  • Kickin serious ass! Love ya Kim & Kelley!

  • heh, the next one is Sonic Youth's Bull in the Heather.

  • This video makes me want to start a band called "Kelley Deal & The One String Wonders."

Totally awesome, Ohio comes together for a great video, the only thing that could make it any cooler was if Devo showed up.

  • @kludd28 yes, and Nick LaShay!

  • I lOVE this freegin' cover.

  • Well, that was awesome

  • Genius named Kim Deal, riding on the great Guded By Voices' song! Kim please marry me and let GBV get drunk with us... I love you.

  • fuck and then i hear sonic youth . fuck i want that mtv!!!!!

  • :D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • no one got to kiss it

  • I love how each one of them has the color of the wall in the back! simple and creative!

I just love the Deal sisters, and this song kick ass!!!!!

  • For some reason this always reminded me of an episode of Pete and Pete. And that`s a good thing.

  • puta la weá linda!!!!!

  • Zajebiste!!!

  • The ORIGINAL line-up of GBV I might add!

  • Well, it's hard to say what was the "original" GBV lineup; probably the two Pollard brothers. Clearer to say: this gang is the pre-overproduced, glam, and repetitive GBV.

  • Don't forget Mr. Sprout. Probably the most important member of the club outside of Bob.

  • Tobin Sprout? Too mild, too hesitant. Bob Pollard was the guiding force, Sprout is a minor talent. The sum of GBV is far greater than its parts, similar to the Beatles. Plus, Kim Deal is a total hottie.

  • I agree, but Sprout is THE minor talent in the group's history. GBV took a sharp decline once he found himself to be the George Harrison of the group (needing to release his own album because of Bob's control). GBV exists without Tobin, but it sure doesn't exist without Bob. That much I can agree on.

  • It's Kim's smile that gets you every time.

  • ....and Kelleys too!

  • ... yeah you can hear those smiles!

  • God she is super-sexy in this. The great song and playing help too! And my new subwoofer helps even more!

  • hell yeah GBV comeing to check on the Breeders. Two great bands!

  • I can has creepster Pollard @ :56 ?

  • Yahh haa! Peepin Pollard!!

  • U can has bullz n hether too @ 1:23

  • such a great cover, and clever video.

  • I think I like this version better than the one off of the Grand Hour EP. That would have been nice to see Sonic Youth's Bull in the Heather vid.

  • Why oh why, can't this song be longer!!!! Oh by the way, I love the begining of Bull In The Heather by Sonic Youth at the end there.

  • Sweet Lord, MTV used to be so cool. The fact that music from Ohio made it onto TV and was so cool. The Breeders are great and GBV rules.

  • Fucking sweet song. And I can't help but chime in that yeah, Kim looks amazing here, maybe her best.

  • @MrFriendepz After the Safari video. She looks really amazing in that one.

  • Wow, better than the GBV version, maybe...

  • magical. Oh to be a fly on the wall in Dayton Ohio 19 something and five. The breeders covering gbv in a garage.....this is real rock mythology.

  • Kim looks gorgeous in this video, as always...

  • The vid following this is Sonic Youths, "Bull In The Heather" with the also HOT Kim Gordon!

  • You're the main girl, Kimmy.

  • i will always love the breeders.

  • Perfect buzz pop. I love this song. Breeders took the ball with this song and ran with it. It's a fun video..

I've heard some previews of Mountain Battles, and I'm extremely stoked. The Deal sisters and co. still now how to rock!

  • FINALLY get to see this video. Dan Toohey showed up at band practice the day this was shot and told me about it, but I never got to actually see it. Toohey--an incredible bassist--played drums in a Dayton band with me called Sylvania Plath (1994-95). Good times, man...

  • I love the fact that GBV are outside looking in wondering WTF is going on. SWEET is right.

  • Kelly rockin' the 1 string guitar! lol

  • That video is soooo freakin' cool!

  • Great!!!

  • i really love how kim is almost always smiling like she having really a great time... i love heeeer!

  • She never looks unhappy playing this stuff. That's one reason I love her too!

  • GOOD VIDEO YOU ROCK JIMMMY

  • This version is almost better than the GBV version.

  • sweetness...pure sweetness.

  • FUCKING HOT

  • GOD DAMN RIGHT

  • trainspotter alert.

    The producer of this vid.

    Jesse Peretz -LemonheaDS????

  • Jesse Peretz has directed many videos, including ones for the Foo Fighters.

  • Speechless

    In Heaven.

One of my favourite songs by one of my favourite bands featuring one of my biggest crushes. Ever. With said band (prime line up) peering in through the window like the coolest freaks in town

  • Such an awesome song.

  • They are in Assachesetts

  • I meant Josephine is English - what is she doing now!

  • Kim was a model in Cannonball though. Th bassist in England, dontcha know.

  • I think I may have listened to this for like a day straight now. So good.

  • Crikey Moses. Kim is stunning in this vid. Better version than the GBV original, I reckon.

  • GBV! GBV! GBV!

  • This is awesome

  • yes...it's a guided by voices song, from an e.p. ' the grand hour". the breeders version KICKS IT!

  • Are the guys outside from Guided by Voices?

  • Yep, that's them.

  • i saw the breeders last year at the 4AD 25th anniversary show and they played this song - so sweeeet.

  • My fave Breeders video. Kim is stunningly gorgeous! Her voice very arousing! Jim does his best Keith Moon imitation.Josephine looks bored. Kelley only has ONE guitar string!

  • freed pig is another cover tune but a little band called seBADoh

  • A little band lol, i am from Boston and here SeBADOH is like a god.

  • I remember seeing this video on "120 Mintues" (probably this episode). I remeber the announcer saying that it could only be found on vinyl and thinking how much that sucked but now that I have a record player, I might try to look for this!

  • Much appreciated!

  • It is so awesome to check out these old Breeders videos! I have been a huge Kim Deal/pixies fan for ages. This is a great, barely known little song. Another one is their cover of Aerosmith's "Lord of the Thighs" with Josephine Wiggs on vocals. It's very sultry. If you dig Kim as much as some of us, you really should check out The Amps album Pacer. It's the only one they did, but it's another little hidden gem.

  • I have been a huge fan of the Breeders for about 12 or so years, I didn't know that this song existed. Its great, nice suitably quirky video. Thank god for the Grunge/Alt breakthrough of the early ninties, otherwise CockRock bands like Poison and Lef leppard may still be around, wouldny that be a travesty.

  • Yeah, it is a tough song to find. It came out on an EP that was only released on vinyl, I believe it was titled "Head to Toe". There are a couple more songs on there that you probably haven't heard yet, one of them is really good too(imo), called "Freed Pig", a very punky type of song. Good to know there are other Breeders fans out there. '-'
