i was just here staying at the 6th floor and some woman at the front desk was talking about a haunting i and during the night i thought i saw a face but i turned out being a white pole but it seemed to come out a little farther then the length of the pole it is most likely the pole but it was probably not my imagination since i had heard about the haunting the morning after before we were leaving the hotel

tayna nice at the holiday inn is my cousin im realted to her through my grandpa he was her cousin and tayna is not buried at that grave yard her body was burnt to ashes her family was buried there and shes reconized there my grandpa is baried there to she would of lived but she ran back in her house during the fire for her toy doll. and people always hear her in they elivators there.

I've had many haunting incidents, but never had any experiences there, nor did I know about this so-called haunting until I surfed into this site just tonite.

i stayed at this hotel 12/11/10 and this video freaked us out! the picture did...we heard little feet running on the fifth floor above us...it was creepy and we thought we saw something that was like a black shadow cross the end of the hallway on the forth floor...creepy

I stayed here on 11/13/2010 in room 424 right next door to the haunted room, the only thing scary about this hotel is the decor it is a dump!

I stayed in the haunted room a few weeks ago for my friends birthday party. A few things happened to me that night. We did hear very loud running through the hall and when we looked no one was there. Also during the middle of the night I felt a tug on the end of my blanket and no one was there so it wasn't a joke. Later that night i was the only person awake and i was trying to fall asleep when i feel a light tug on the back of my shirt. Even later i felt like someone was right on top of me :O

I don;t know how to explain to those who have stayed here at the GI HI but to be honest, there are days where there is no activity within the hotel by the ghost. Then ya get days where there is high amount and things are nuts... try the 911 calls that happen almost every Thurs. at exactly 9pm during daylight savings time or8pm normal time. Always comes from the pool area, yet there is no out land line from the pool with the phones down there.

This hotel is SO FOR REAL!!! im not kidding me adn a couple of my friends stayed in this hotel...we didnt believe in ghosts...so we stayed up all night..we had taken alot of pics we brought them up on the computer and every pic we took there was a little girls face in it...we had gone by the pool late at night and this little girl came up to us we didn't even realize she was a ghost until we turned around and we looked back NOBODY was there I swear on my grandmothers life that this is all true!!

omg i stayed in this hotel last year for a soccer tournament, me and my friend went to one of the higher floors i cant remember which one tho:P to get ice cause none of the other ones would work, we walked down the hall and when we walked by one of the doors there was banging on the door and moaning coming from the room! we booked it down the hall back to the floor and sent our dads to get the ice we were so freaked!! maybe it was the little girl!!??

dude, my sister had her birthday party there about 6 years ago and we took a tour of that room and when we were in their you could see a silouthette of a little girl behind the blinds.After everyone went screaming out of the room we went to the elevator and you could hear banging on the doors of a out of order one and slight moaning. Scariest shit of my life and I was only 7 there and my sister was 10.

Interestingly enough, my family and I had a "New Year/ Christmas" celebration at this hotel last Saturday afternoon. My daughters and cousins recieved the paper about the hotel being haunted by a little girl.

It was suggested that we go by rm.422 and see for ourselves. I actually invited "Tanya" to come take a picture with the children. When my film was developed, she appeared smiling as she did in the anniversary pics above. We also believe we got a shot of her n the pool with the girls..... I am going to contact the management at the hotel, I'm sure they will be interested.

Don't be afraid to stay at the Grand Island hotel. The girl is a friendly ghost. Due to witness reports, they usually see her playing with a ball, running through the halls, and playing with children. My family and I passed by room 422 and heard people in the room, watching television. There's nothing to fear, enjoy your stay at the hotel; it's great.

I will remember this experience my whole life:

I was 6 and took swimming lessons at the Holiday Inn, GI. My father and got on an elevator to get up to a floor. My father is just ahead of me and steps out of the elevator. I am following right behind him and suddenly the elevator doors slam shut. Without me pressing any button the elevator shoots up to an empty floor. I am screaming the whole time. I get off the elevator and there is no one on this random floor. I swore I heard laughing.

I stayed at this hotel Saturday, July 12, 2008. I was on the 2nd floor, and my cousin and her husband were on the 3rd floor. We were there for a wedding. I heard the stories of the little girl before staying there. Early Sunday morning 7am, I heard the running of little feet above me. Then again and again for the next 5 hours. It sounded like it was above me. My cousin heard it over and over also but it sounded like it was above her. I didn't see anything but I sure believe it now.

I use to work at the hotel when I was growing up on East river...just 1 mile down from the hotel...heard all these stories when I worked there , I totally believe in this and now have passed on this "urban legend" to my kids. What Dan says is all true. I myself Work at the Grand Island Holiday Inn. I am not joking either. The door that is locked is on the 4th floor, #422 where most of the mysterious happenings have been going on. Tanya has been haunting the place for years. It's Scary thought while working there and dealing with all the strange happenings. As of right now, I'm leaving the rest for everyone to research on it. Another good look up on this would be The WhiteHaven Cemetery, NY which is next door .
