2:40 onward seems to signify the great achievements and accomplishments of the human race, in my opinion. Living anywhere between 1600 and now seems to be great, well... except for those two global conflicts but hey... we're just beginning!
The actual scene shown at 03:25, when Hartdegen gets to 24 May 2030, it's just so marvelous to hear a chorus chanting a high note and the ad text "The future is now" ... and a rather technocratic, highly evolved, bustling world out there. The typical highly-advanced, colourful and prosperous society concept of early futurism with bizarre entertainment concepts :) Ore mines on the moon... I imagined the Jetsons on a space golf cart over there already
@yo3443 I think he is talking about the general principles and social conduct of society. He feels out of place. There are a lot of things in life you can't change and you just have to deal with it. With time travel you wouldn't have to. I find it hilarious that the Chinese announce that time travel is impossible, but then it's found that neutrinos exceed the speed of light, bringing it into the realm of possibility again.
I'm listening to this, just letting it overwhelm my senses and then the Soaring over CA ride pops into my head. If you know what I am talking about press 6. It made me laugh.
this melody by Klaus Badelt.... is a song that changes you... just like travelling into past and future... its a song that brings comfort to all those who wish they could have changed something in their life...
two of guy pearce's movies were not well received in 2002: this one and the count of monte cristo. the difference is, count of monte cristo was a well-made film and the time machine was a piece of shit overall lol (average before he time travels to the samantha mumba times, unwatchable after)
I loved this movie from 2002. I think the reason this movie wasn't well received and didn't do better at the box office was because it was released right after 911 and everyone wasn't in the mood for this I guess? Oh, well. The soundtrack is memorable and will stand the test of time.
Gahhh...dammit all, this musics awesome, but I can't find that one track I'm searching for >< Its the one that plays where the time Traveler talks to the Uber-Morlock, and see's that weird vision of what could have happened if his girlfriend didn't die.
The most amazing and inspirational song I have ever heard!

Another great soundtrack from an old movie story remake. I like this film, mostly because of the music.

@yo3443 Pipe down! Some of us would like to live in the year 2030, when everything is advanced and life is easy, unlike boring old 2011!

This was a decent remake to a SciFi classic. I think the 1960 Georga Pal version was a hard act to follow.

I'd go back in time and say "I don't" to my Ex-Wife! What a big mistake that was. A time machine would have been great to have back then.

Beautiful. It describes how amazing may be watching the pass of time towards that distant future among seasons, glacier eras, woods, deserts, etc.
